The first 9 rounds he was terrible, the running, clinching, falling over etc. When he actually started throwing more punches and trading with Froch he looked brilliant.
how many times did he go down? Was he punched? No. Did he slip? No. Just afraid of incoming punch so its best to go down and the ref will call it a slip. How many times did he clinch when Froch started connecting? Constantly clinching even after he connected on Froch he would clinch to prevent retaliation. He was running like abitch as well.
The mans got skills and has potential but hes too inexperienced at the moment. He missed so many opportunities to hit Froch.
And people expect much for a fighter that fight one of the most borring and garbage fights in boxing history in his win against Stevens this guy fight like that, the Dirrel brothers and the Peterson ones borring s hell, thats why they where fighting bums, because nobody wants to put them on TV. At least now Dirrel step up.
Look man, he had to take that fight. Rush or not the fight had to happen and his team wouldn't have sent him to the tournament if they didn't think he could win. Obviously he did show he can win, I thought he won the fight to be honest, that explains it but there no desire whatsoever, that fire for WANTING the title wasn't there so a loss doesn't bother me since he deserves it in my opinion and HAS to show some desire or get the heck out. He had the fight BEAT, he didn't bite. Froch's first step up was Pascal TWO FIGHTS AGO ONLY in England and he went to the US to defend his title against Taylor immediately after it, it's only fair Dirrell does the same. You want the man's title you have to show that fire and it looks like the majority don't have the desire/will to show that kind of fire anymore. The same kind of fire Taylor showed in his fight with Hopkins and in the rematch, keep throwing all the way, put your ass on the line till the end, show you WANT that belt.
He won the fight imo. But I wasn't impressed. People see running and holding and they act like it's gotta be "sweet science". Yeah right. Not every time it's not. He held too much and he could have done more. Btw he's pretty good in some areas, but he looks vulnerable. Froch was just too slow to capitalize.
Dirrell has no heart.Christ he held all the time and when he wasn't holding he was falling down or crying to the ref.He talked all that smack and couldn't back it up.
You Americunts will also be quietened when Kessler wins this whole tournaments. Us Eurofags will prevail. :happy
Sigh... whatever direction this thread takes, I want to say this. I do my damndest never to actually insult fighters, and I failed with this thread. I respect the courage all fighters have deeply, and I want to apologize to Dirrell fans for posting an insulting thread title. I was truly hoping that Dirrell would fight to WIN tonight, and seeing him complaining, and running, and holding at the first hint of exchanges frustrated me badly. Dirrell is obviously NOT pure garbage. He's a young fighter who hopefully will develop with time into a more complete fighter. Tonight he wasn't one, and I was hoping he would be. And obviously, what Froch brought to the table played into the way Dirrell was fighting. I'll hold back next time. I blame gambling.
Ok bitchass. When Froch started to connect to the back of the head? Where the **** was this connection. I seen Froch swining and Dirrell bobbing and weaving and rolling out of the corner untouched. Now repeat that **** about 20 plus times during the fight and Dirrell landing double lead lefts.. He went down b/c he was wrestled down you dumb *****. And body slammed one time b/c the other guy was frustrated from getting countered. The only fighter that got hurt by a punch was Froch who was almost dropped. 101 *****.
Correction, zombie handed you mean. Froch is **** slow and extremely predictable, he was eating more counters from Dirrell than the other way around so I don't know what Doner Kebab you have in your system that seems to confuse you. Heavy handed my ass. He caught Dirrell and it was Froch who was rocked/hurt late NOT Dirrell, there wasn't a single moment in the fight where Dirrell looked like he was about to get knocked out or down, it was the other way around. I'm waiting for the Abraham fight and please quote me here, prepare to see Froch taken out on a stretcher. I would hate to see that happen to ANY fighter but that's my prediction and I'm dead serious about it. Froch has zero defense, no speed, decent stamina and a good ability to take a punch but NOT good enough for Abraham who will be landing A LOT more. If it was Kessler in there Froch would have been sliced out immediately. I can't understand ANY serious fan that backed up Froch's claims about Calzaghe. Calzaghe would have taken that guy out Manfredo Jr. style.
