All this **** should have been agreed beforehand as the whole thing falls apart when fighter start demanding something different. If this all fails then it will be a massive blow.
out of all the fighters involved, only 2 can command more money in their respective countries than the other 4.
the fact is he has entered a legally binding contract from the get go, his manger promotional team etc agreed that ward would have his fights in oakland and he agreed that he would travel for all of his fights apart from the arthur abraham. if anyone is at fauklt then it is his team because they should have got a better bargain
Look the reason Ward agree to do this turnament if only all the fights is in his hometown from start to finish.<<<This is where the fear of flying rumar came into play. I told you people.
Exactly. Dirrell's sudden demands just fly in the face of contractually bound reality. I'm sorry the guy got robbed in his first fight, but that doesn't excuse his team's grasping of straws at this stage of the game.
This is true I remember Ward saying that & I forgot - good point Ray. I suppose if the other fighters and promoters were too silly to stipulate locational issues they have only themselves to blame. Still; I think Ward should be reasonable about this. He's basically admitting he has an advantage by insisting a home stages fight.
if that's true then Showtime are certainly hoping that he is the next big thing, for that alone I hope he loses.
In a way i agree but at the same time, it's not fair that Ward gets to fight 3 times in a row in his hometown. Ward is an *******. He says that it should be in his hometown cause he's "the" champ? Gtfo. Kessler was "the" champ and the favorite to win it all in the beginning but he fought Ward in Ward's backyard in oakland.
I didn't know Ward had fought in Oakland both times, and he wants to fight there again? ****ing shocking. Try fighting somewhere else than your hometown you ****.
It is true. It all makes sense. Ward make an excuse that the reason he wants all his fights at home is cause he told showtime he fear of flying. And showtime being a ****** fall for it.
Not on boxrec, that's for sure. I haven't watched either of Ward's fights either. Probably the least interesting part of the tournament to me.
I use to like Ward but now i hate his guts cause of this ****. It's not right that 5 other fighters in this tournament has to fight on the road but he doesn't?
