If Froch was a head larger than Dirrell wouldn´t people say Dirrell had the right strategy and that´s how you´re supposed to fight a guy like that?
Just because Dirrell and Froch are more or less the same size makes his strategy wrong?

Just curious. How can you score one fight for Froch and the other one for Haye, what was the difference?

And for the record, in my opinion Dirrell and Haye both won their respective fight!

Who cares. Valuev's been on the right side of the fence one to many times. For better or worse at least Haye is willing to fight the Klitschko's.

Thats' a really good point. Found it a frustrating fight to watch and was yelling for Haye to throw more and felt he just wasn't throwing enough even though he wasn't getting hit himself. And whilst waiting for the scores couldn't help thinking of the Dirrell fight too. Maybe it was the fact Haye made it a cleaner fight by never getting caught and holding, although Haye probably had an easier job slipping Valuev than Dirrell did with Froch. Still I couldn't help thinking that Haye did no more than Dirrell had done 'to take the belt from the champ in his own backyard'. I don't think anyone could've complained too much if there'd been a homtown decision for Valuev as I thoughtit closer than Froch-Dirrell. The fact it was in Germany made it even stranger that there wasn't!

I had both, Dirrell and Haye winning. Haye more comfortable though. Froch did for sure land more than Valuev, who only was hitting air.

    1) Haye didn't clinch and maul at all, let alone thoughout the fight
    2) Froch landed more shots than Valuev
    3) Haye landed more meaningful punches than Dirrell

    Different judges dude.

I had Dirrell and Haye winning both their respective fight. I also believed Dirrell was possibly more impressive in doing so.

David Haye won on Saturday night because the powers that be see him as the new cash cow of the sport simple as that a fight with either of the brothers will probably be one of the richest heavyweight fights in years!

I had the fight 6 rounds each and i reckon that should never be enough to beat the champ it what essentially is his own back yard!

It's all about the judges and their style preferences. It actually seems that the judges for Froch/Dirrell were looking to punish Dirrell for his tactics more than reward Froch. With Haye, he used the tactics he kind of had to, fighting an opponent with such obvious physical advantages.

Well duh! Dirrell lost to an Englishman in England, Haye beat a Russian in Germany.

Agree and lets be honest did Haye really have an injury? No, I think he said to himself hey ill probably get mauled vs Vitali so minus well make some money before I do. I am dead sure hes going to defend his tittle against Ruiz or Chagaev before fighting Vitali guaranteed!

Because there are biased nuthuggers in boxing. Granted the Dirrell fight was closer than Haye/Valuev but Dirrell won.

To the idiots who say Dirrell ran (or Haye for that matter). Wrong sport. You are watching the wrong sport. Go watch bare knuckle fighting because you obviously can't appreciate the sweet science and accept that there are different ways to win a fight. Like Roger Mayweather would say "you don't know **** about boxin". Boxing doesn't need dumbass fans that only like to watch glorified pub brawlers.

Nah mate....Dirrell won that fight, he outpunched Froch.

A decision that went against common sense but it happens. I dont consider Dirrell to have a proper loss and if he continues to improve could become a very good boxer and future champion.
