Dirrell appears to be leaning away from his position of not facing DeGale in the UK. Thats under negotiation. The most important thing is that Im willing to be a world champion, whatever it takes, Dirrell told Sky Sports. Im chasing that world title, its been long enough. Im ready to become world champion rightfully and Ill be willing to do whatever it takes. Im definitely unhappy with the judges' decision last time, but that is no reason for me to be worried about coming there the second time around. I dont want to base future situations on the past so all I have to do is come with a proper game plan and believe in myself. Wherever the fight may be, if its in Mars, Pluto, UK, China it doesnt matter. I believe Ill come out victorious. He has every right to be concerned about the judges in the UK based on what happened in the Froch fight but maybe this time around the he will care a fare shake .
I think he genuinely has Brandon Gonzales was undefeated and scored a draw against fellow contender Thomas Oosthuzien (i dont recommend watching that fight) Marco Antonio Periban was in a war with Sakio Bika for the WBC strap and despite losing to J'leon love he did hurt him whilst holding a draw with Badou Jack who challenges for the WBC strap Degale stopped two top contenders in dominant fashion which compared to his lackluster performances before hand against lesser opposition is quite an improvement. On a side note I think Dirrell beat Groves and will do more convincingly in a rematch
Did he switch up trainers I haven't followed him as much I did watch the Groves fight but not much else ..What could work in his favor is that Dirrell level of inactivity could catch up to him
That's good to hear ,the only thing is Dirrell is very slick ..Has he ever been in with a fighter like that ? mentally Dirrell though has issues
Im going with Dirrell on points . This is his comeback . Hopefully he fights kovalev in the future . I think its more likely Dirrell will get in the ring with Kovalev way before Ward does .
