At the same point in their careers or very similar - Joe took on Eubank, a very dangerous puncher who had ruled the division for a number of years and beaten some very good fighters. Joe went head first against Eubank and beat him, including dropping him with a right hand in the first round. Dirrell was in against a very limited fighter who he knew he could dominate any time he engaged, he was too scared to engage for fear he'd get hit. He doesn't have a fighters heart, let alone the skillset that an ATG HOFer like Calzaghe had, stop smoking crack.
Also what a dreadul interviewer...somehow because 1996 Roy Jones might be able to beat Joe Calzaghe is adds to the argument that Dirrell could..ridiculous..!! Dirrell is one of the many slickster wannabes that have come out in the post RJJ era and he is one of many who will not make it on the highest level!
This guys a piece of **** who just runs and grabs... i can't respect his style at all... Calzaghe whatever you say about him would at least turn up to fight and wold trade with opponents
The way dirrell talks about calz would suggest him trying to make best buds with froch. All a ploy to get a rematch w/ the cobra maybe.
Quite competitive, Joe was an edge ahead of Eubank but got himself in trouble very late in the fight, Eubank mounted a comeback.
well that was before the cobra fight so I doubt he was thinking of a rematch. That video is pretty old. And to the guy who said dirrell won the froch fight. Who got the W? who got the L... exactly.
Amen. Froch is a guy that Calzaghe would of wiped his ass with. Let Dirrell run his mouth all he wants, still doesn't mean **** lol. Dirrell is an average skilled fighter. He doesn't have anything more special, that seperates him from the rest of the super middleweights. He talks just to hear himself speak, like most fighters.
