over at the scene, more Andre Dirrell weirdness, he basically said he might rematch froch one day, maybe, if he feels like it, possibly.

    :think

shouldnt he be itching to get in there and avenge the "robbery"

yeah he should but hes an athlete not a fighter, he just hasnt got the xfactor of being a proper fighter willing to put it on the line. HE might come and win a few more decent level fights but as soon as someone can drag him into a war again he will go missing

i get the same impression. i thought in the abrahms fight he was changing because he was not running as much but then he wanted to be an actor and not a fighter.

I think he would win a rematch, but lets face it NOBODY wants to see that fight again!

to be fair if Dirrell upped his punch output he could probably beat Froch. Dirrell had him hurt more than once but he just isnt i dunno what the word is vicious? enuff to close the show. unless he can change his mentality hes gunna fall short of being the best

I actually agree i think he is an extraordinary athlete i get the feeling he could take up a different sport and be very good at it.

I do feel that his heart isnt necessarily in the fighting side of things its great when you can have things all your own way and you can use you athleticism to win fights but when the tough gets going when he has to take one to give one I feel he has that fighters spirit missing

This is no way a slight on Dirrell but you get the feeling he is a good athlete who has become a boxer rather than a fighter that has become a good athlete

    Agreed.

    He's got that mental block.

He's also very badly advised by the people that are around him. Sure boxing isn't a popularity contest but other than Mr. V.I.P. he's got absolutely no fans left.

Also whining about hometown decisions is a bit rich when many fighters have given far more against far inferior opponents to Froch and ended up with nothing. Like Froch said after the fight, don't try and pull that kind of stuff in a major fight..... or else you'll be sent home with the tail between the legs.

His trainer is embarrassing too. I'd either have sacked him or got him gagged by the courts!

I'll never watch another Dirrell fight regardless. He's boring as ****, spoils non-stop and his 'I got paid like a mother****er so I dont care'* attitude stinks.

*His actual words following the Curtis Stevens fight - the worst fight Harold Lederman had ever seen.

By the way I think Andre Dirrell and Carl Froch are world class fighters.. Possibly elite guys it's just that some fighters styles don't gel well, I thought both looked great beating AA.. I also think Dirrell v Ward would have been an interesting fight to watch.. I just hope we get to see Froch on tv sooner rather than later..

He looked great until he set out his stand for an oscar nomination when AA was coming on.

he said only if froch has a belt, which he now does,if dirrell kept up with the news he would know this!. :patsch

He would have to fight froch better than last time, not clinch and spoil, not be the non aggressor like he was.

Froch has improved, his movement and balance is much better, hes being smarter and using his jab and using straighter punches and more effective combinations.

I think if direll didnt clinch and did engage he would get hurt by froch and get knocked down and possibly out.
