pisses me off how they robbed him blind of his fight with froch.....not that it will happen, but i hope kessler beats the living **** outta froch.....i dont usually wish that upon fighters that have received a gift, but frochs stupid ass really thinks he won the fight and even called it an easy night......:-(
I had Froch winning too, but I'm glad Dirrell didn't get the decision. I had Martinez besting Williams but I'm happy with that decision because Williams fought hard, just like Martinez. However, Dirrell's performance against Froch was one of the worst I've ever seen and, honestly, if he'd won every round clearly, I wouldn't have bothered if he had lost.
I also feel bad for Dirrell. He's a good guy, but first he got verbally abused by Froch, then got a win taken away from him, and now the abraham situation. His only real test would be Ward. The others don't have a chance to beat him.
I'm surprised you had Froch winning, you being from England and all. You probably had abraham winning too, because it seems you can't stand Dirrell.
Froch is an arrogant ***** and I scored the fight to Dirrell, by two points, but the fact is Freddie mate that Dirrell could have and therefore should have done more to ensure that there was no doubt in the judges minds in the rounds that were obviously hard to score. I guess that Dirrell will have been kicking himself ever since that final bell. And his ****ing stupid corner didn't exactly cover themselves with glory with their "Between rounds advice" did they? If Dirrell and Forch do not meet again in the "Super 6" then no doubt Andre will be actively seeking a re-match, so he will have the perfect opportunity to set the record straight when they do eventually meet again!
No offence Cali mate, but Dirrell gave as good as he got in the "Insult stakes"!! And if Andre fights like he did last night then you may be right, his biggest (And possibly only) test could be Ward, but if Andre fights like he did against Froch then he could lose again! I believe that Andre's biggest problem may be complacency!! He may believe that having beat Abraham he has beat his biggest danger. Such thoughts could find room to dwell in a young gifted fighter's mind and that could prove his undoing!! I hope not because despite being British (And a Froch fan, for my sins) I became a fan of Dirrell's when he fought Froch (Andre is a hugely talented boxer) and I was delighted to see him fulfil his obvious potential against a dangerous fighter like King Arthur!! Sorry Jack mate, I have to disagree with you (Which isn't very often). Firstly, as a studious fan of boxing, I seriously doubt that Dirrell's performance against Froch was anywhere near the worst that you have witnessed! That fat ****er Kingpin's was far,far worse and i'm sure that there are many worse performances this year. Chambers was far worse than Dirrell (But then I guess that I am biased because I scored the fight for Dirrell). Secondly if a fighter does not "Fight hard" but clearly wins the fight, then he deserves the decision, surely? If that is the case then all the great defensive fighters (Pernell Whittaker springs to mind) want to be grateful that you never judged their fights.
Hoenstly, Dirrell won't last much longer fighting top class guys if he continues to back straight up with his gloves down. He was in complete control against Abraham and in the 6th or 7th round he started doing the same dumb **** that cost him the Froch fight. You can slip shots with speed and athleticism without looking like a complete chicken **** and spazzing out like Dirrell does. It will be dissapointing if this kid cannot put it all together soon because he has the tools to beat anyone. IMO he gets dominated by Bute and beaten by Ward. He can beat anyone else at 168.
Actually, as I had Dirrell winning the Froch fight, I agree, he should lead the tourney. Hopefully he'll beat Ward and will go on. He deserves it.
