    Thats 8-2-2 :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Thats even a wide score then I had for for ole Slobra. As I said many a times on this website, if you score the fight correctly there is no way you could have it for Slobra.

Although I see no comments about Froch's body slam in round 5 or his holding and hitting behind the head, and the blatant rabbit punch in round 8 I believe where he actually looked at the back of Dirrells head then threw a punch, but thats neither here nor there, sour grapes on my part, atleast you had the correct winner.:good

I think all Froch stans should read this post. It perfectly sums up the fight. Dirrell dominating from 1-5, Froch dirtying it up from rounds 6-10 maybe stealing a few rounds and Dirrell reasserting control in the championship rounds.

  2. I cannot see how Froch won that fight, but people really think so.

:bloodYou are kidding me right? not very often? The guy is bonkers. Lost his mind years ago.

Froch got smacked around and missed every punch that mattered. Did his best work when fouling.

damn right he should be on top. I hope he or Abraham wins the tourny. I'm an Abe fan but he pissed me off with that punching Dirrell when he was down.

    **** off.

NOT ONE boxing journalist who watched the fight live had Dirrell winning, not a single one.

You have no opinion of your own, you just repeat what you've heard on tv

Dirrell completely stunk the joint out.

Any so called boxing fan who thinks such an appalling display of acting, complaining, falling down, running round the ring as fast as he can, merits taking the WBC title from it's holder is seriously deluded. Even Gary Shaw knew Dirrell was losing the fight, despite what he says now

Dirrell has the talent, but in the Froch fight he had no bottle. He blew it

No way was Dirrell robbed of a win v Froch.

If he'd actually gone into the fight with the mindset of really believing he'd return as a World Champion, rather than going in to survive then i think the fight was there for the taking. Froch was struggling with Dirrell's speed when he actually decided to launch a few attacks.

It was a close fight. Froch was always on the offensive, whereas Dirrell was on his bike in most rounds. How can people be suprised that the judges at ringside gave it to Froch when he was (a) The Champion (b) Fighting in his back yard (c) The only fighter actually looking to win. Dirrell was trying to pinch rounds. That's not enough away from home against a world champion. Rightly or wrongly, him and his team must have known that before the fight.

Dirrell threw away his chance of victory that night by being too cautious. He had the skill, speed and a huge opportunity to win and he didnt take it.

I'd fancy Dirrell to win in a re-match, but he didnt deserve to become world champion that night, in my opinion. It took him far too long to realise he could actually win.

yeah and while stinking the joint out he only made Froch punch thin air and landed on Froch. However way he did it, he fulfilled the object of boxing which is to hit and not be hit much better than his opponent. He had every right to complain because of dangerous rabitt punching, and the ref was incompotent that night. WBC title or not, it's bull**** that a champion gets a head start because he has the belt. What's deluded is all this talk of "the challenger should have to rip the belt from his opponent not steal it". Gimme a break that's such a load of crap. Just score the fight. The better man wins, regardless of whether he'sa challenger or champion.

Gary Shaw and Team Dirrell only knew to win a decision in Nottingham would be tough as hell. Doesn't mean they think he lost.

I don't think I scored this fight when I watched it. But I was really disappointed with Dirrell afterwards. I thought he had the ability to utterly dominate Froch, but he fought scared for a lot of the rounds. Hopefully it's all a learning experience in this super 6 so far, and he gets better for it.

USA Today had it 117-110 Dirrell.

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxing/2009-10-17-froch-vs-dirrell-rounds_N.htm

When I scored it live, I had it 116-111 Dirrell. Most people who weren't physically in the Arena scored it for Dirrell. The crowd had a really big effect in this one.
