dirrell vs froch

the weight wasn't a factor against Froch.

 

I think having to fight abroad for the first time must have messed up his training. I think he got to England only a week before the fight. Such a long journey has to mess you up when your trying to make weight right?

I don't know whether it contributed to his performance because he was stronger in the later rounds which suggests his stamina was good. I think he just gave it up by running so much

first prime time fight shook him up... he fought scared in that fight and didn't start to relax until the later rounds

 

I thought the hometown ref was the biggest reason Dirrell got robbed. He refused to stop Froch from rabbit punching, he just warned him occasionally but Froch kept doing it. The only rounds that Froch won were the ones that he continuously rabbit punched. And rather than take a point for Froch's rabbit punching the ref took a point from Dirrell for holding. While Dirrell definitely still won the fight it was closer on the scorecards due to the ref and that made it easy for the hometown refs to give Froch the nod. What pissed me off most was after the fight in the interview Froch mentioning how tough the ref had been on him.

As far as the question of Dirrell making weight I think he just miscalculated his pre weigh-in routine and how the time change would factor in. I don't really think it effected him at all in the fight itself.

Dirrell was robbed. Dirrell hurt Froch, Froch couldnt touch Dirrell, except as one poster said, the rabbit punching.

Thank god Froch is an overrated puncher or else Dirrell could have ended up like Mclellan

Boxing News and The Ring both scored for Froch, I also read on here that someone said Boxing Monthly did as well, but havent seen that first hand, but The Ring and Boxing News both had Froch as the winner
