Seems a fitting venue for this fight. In case many of you have forgotten where I stand on the fight, Andre Dirrell will school, and thoroughly expose Ward in fight many will compare afterwards to Calzaghe-Lacy. Expecting Ward to win this fight would be like asking Zidane to beat Jet Li. Ward may even be stopped.

At any rate the drama will be unfolding in Detroit.

Finally a fight not in Wards hometown.

Both are talented but for some reason I dislike Ward.

    War DIRELL.

You dislike Ward because you know he's talented but instead chooses to fight like a ****ing caveman. Many fans don't like it when a fighter purposely fights dirty, in the process making even his fans boo or jump out of a window.

    Farmboxer will be saddened.

Kinda suprising seeing as Ward has sold lots of tickets around the Oakloand area and Dirrell v Abraham in Detroit appeared to have lots of empty seats?

Personally I thought the fight should be held at MSG. This fight in New York at MSG would fill the seats without much of a problem.

i ike dirrel and its a shame he got shafted in england against froch because ward is going eliminate dirrel by 12 round wide ud...
maybe a blessing in disguise because the first fighter from the super six that fights bute knocks him out(excluding green)...

Ward is not as smart, fast or as skilled as Dirrell. The only way Dirrell loses this fight is if he forgets how to move laterally and forgets how to fight going backwards. Dirrell is the best in this game at BOTH. Dirrell may just win every round.

Dirrell will beat him Ward has looked a lot more consistent in his fights throughout his career but Dirrell seems to be more naturally talented. And if you judge dirrell on his last performance he could be able to beat ward without too much trouble provided he shows his best in the ring

    An important note:

The main reason for my pick is how fast and well Dirrell has been improving. It's as if Dirrell is finally realizing just how good he really is. You can see it in his confidence, how he's standing his ground and throwing more at EVERY opportunity.

Ward imo has been declining. Ward looked great boxing the ears off Miranda. But since he hasnt really shown us any boxing, let alone whether he's improved. So if anything Ward taking time off boxing to grapple and beat people with his head is only hurting himself as sooner or later he won't be "fighting" in Oakland. Sooner or later he will have to box. It appears it will be much sooner than even he prefers. Anyone who thinks the same tactics that worked on a mongoloid Green will work on the Matrix should just log the **** out.

This is Great news for me being that i live in Detroit! I had a good time at the Dirrell vs Abraham fight and i know this fight will be bigger and better. It was plenty of empty seats at the last fight but im thinking with better promotion and a really good matchup will equal more people!

Good way to start my day off with some good boxing news!!!!
