Lacy would probably have a solid deal more success than Green because he did have good inside skills to a point, but even then I see Ward just picking him apart. Too smart. Too many looks, too many strategies, and the athleticism to implement them. Dirrell would just counter him shamelessly and light him up with combos.

You know, giving Lacy props in an attempt to boost Calzaghe's resume doesn't really work that well. Lacy never beat anyone worth a damn. Even Taylor disposed of him. And old old old man Jones Jr.

So they can both juice up without fear of consequences. Nice.

Judging by how you always try to downplay Americans...One could only take this is as a serious post...It probably is given on how you try to downplay American fighters!:patsch
Lacy was really never all of that IMO...I'm more of the boxer type of fan I've always thought that lacy would lose to a solid boxer...Lacy style just doesnt give me assumption that he would be able to land on a boxer let along a lot to get the KO or TKO.

Lacy was a good brawler with some what decent pop to his punches...Thats about the only thing that I saw in lacy.
I can agree with that but I say after a couple rounds with Ward...Lacy would get figured out and shut down...Would have been a good fight to see back before Lacy got his heart taken from him!

Calzaghes retired. You guys have to forget about him now and let it go.
    Lacy had a fair resume

    Tsypko
    Vanderpool
    Sheika
    Reid
    Pemberton
    Manfredo

Thats not a bad run. Your boosting Dirrell for his one noted win a DQ against a small former MW champ with no real SMW resume, whos big MW win was who?

And Ward who has one good win over a previously exposed Kessler, but other than that? Green who isnt better than any of the guys on Lacys resume and worse than Reid and Tsypko

I'm just calling it like I see it. You know your resume is **** when the best win you have is Manfredo. Dirrell on the other hand is a bronze medalist with a couple good wins professionally under his belt. AA was a previously undefeated MW with dominant wins over a live prime Miranda and a KO win over Taylor at SMW, a fighter with a huge KO PCT(abraham). He got robbed against Froch and would have won against AA if not for that disgraceful DQ.

Ward, former gold medalist, had dominant wins over Kessler(whose only loss was to Calzaghe, who you rate highly iirc) and Green, who had a single loss to miranda.

The funny thing about this whole argument is that Dirrell and Ward's careers are really just getting started. Both are very young and have achieved solid wins in the S6 already. Both are doing what you accuse american fighters of constantly(not taking on tough, european competition), so why bag on them when it's clear they will surpass Lacy in their careers?

Ward will be getting all up in his grille and Dirrell arms will be getting weary as the fight goes on. I expect Ward to dominate the second half of the fight.

I don't recall Ward being severely warned or penalized in either bout. Either way, I think Ward is just tougher than Dirrell, I believe Dirrell is equally or even more talented, but I just don't think he's as tough as Ward either mentally or physically. Great fight, I like them both, and won't be dissappointed either way.

I got dirrell winning by UD or late stoppage. See dirrell coming out being agressive and slowing ward down. Ward will be facing a faster fighter for the first time and the reach and pop on dirrell's shots will make ward a little reluctant to just dive in there. Ward used the BHOP style in beating Kessler and all out mauled green with an up graded hatton style. It will be proven as it has many times that hand and mainly FOOT speed beat that style all day. Ward will be the one who will have to over come dirrell and not the other way around. I see ward in a shell simular to AA for alot of this fight while being a little bit more active but very anxious in face of dirrell being agressive with his long speed. I also have felt for a while that dirrell was a better infighter than most give him credit for. He can hit and not be hit while under fire and is very accurate with short snappy shots in close.

Guys.. Ward finds a way. HE never lost a fight. He is getting close to his prime... He wont loose against Dirrell.

He can only loose like to a " Rahman ". He wont loose to a better boxer..

Wards chances of loosing is a gainst Abraham and maybe Kessler. I think Kessler could do better in remach.

How can you say that when Abraham has no real SMW resume of note and his big MW win was against Miranda. Now lets be honest. Its his SMW resume were talking about here. So id say hes better than say Manfredo but not Reid

Sounds like it really is NOT going to Detroit from what I have been hearing.
