Dirrell -Ward is the fight to Talk About ..

It's a hard fight to disect.

I would imagine that Ward is at a disadvantage from the outside, but I suspect that he will try and box with Dirrell at certain times, especially when he's orthadox and Dirrell is southpaw.

There is also a high probability that Ward will apply aggressive, intelligent pressure, while being an elusive target on the way in.

I think Dirrell has the better athletic potential, but Ward is smarter and tougher. I think Ward wins.

 

I can't even begin to pick. I'm unreasonably high on Dirrell because of the way he handled Abraham. And I drank about 9 gallons of Ward flavored Hate-Aid after the Kessler fight.

 

You really think this'll be good? It was my early prediction for "stinker of the group stage". I hope I'm wrong. I feel like there isn't gonna be a whole heck of a lot of aggression in this fight, and that it'll be more like an amateur fight where both guys are just gonna try to out-score the other guy.

Nothing wrong with that, as long as there's a little bit of drama, I guess. I think that's the point I've been trying to make... I don't think there will be any drama or surprises in this fight. We'll see...

 

Ward will basically steal this fight. Dirrell will let him too.

I think Ward eeks out a closely contested fight...Dirrell has the tools but Ward is the more polished fighter IMO...I wouldnt be surprised if Dirrell pulls out the victory given he's growing into something special.

I will have to look at how Ward deals with Green for me to get a better opinion...Dirrell looked very sharp in his last fight.

 

There is always the possiblity that Ward loses his next fight too...

So really, I think this thread is somewhat premature.

But based on Ward and Dirrell past performances, at this current time, I say Ward takes the fight from Dirrell like a grown man takes something from a boy.

 

I'm picking Dirrell.

He has got great skills and showed that he can handle pressure e.g. v AA

 

I got Ward by UD. To me he's the more mentally tough fighter and is more complete at this point. If this fight takes place two years from now I might lean towards Dirrell.

 

Ward wins this.

 

This is kinda hard fight to pick. Both skilled, both good figthers. Don't really know. But leaning towards Direll

 

I agree, this has the potential to be horrific.
