Dirrell had his chance to show his stuff against Ward but (and I'm not exaggerating here) pussied out. Yes he's skilled and yes he'd give Ward a few problems but think about this: When Dirrell fought Abraham he dominated the entire fight except for 2 punches he took. 1 put him flat on his arse and the other KO'd him clean and caused neurological problems resulting in a 21 month layoff. The guys chin is undoubtedly in question but even if you dismiss that, Ward is a fantastic champion and will be dominating this division for some time...
If Dirrell grows a pair, then it will be interesting. Otherwise, forget it! He better work on getting the rematch with Froch in Vegas or NYC!!!
So you're the "I comment on boxing, just never watch any" guy? So youre saying Dirrell too two shots from AA all night huh, interesting, I seem to recall him eating several flush shots with no problem, long story short Dirrell's chin is fine.
I think Ward should fight Bute next Dirrel looked great almost like he never had a layoff but we also forget that he just KO'd ****ing Cunningham let Dirrel have a tune up or 2 he has been sitting out he needs to get some more rounds in i feel I did think that Dirrel was improving in every fight and had superior speed and power to Ward but thought Ward was the better boxer Dirrel- gifted Ward- superior Id say after Dirrel shakes the cobb webs a little more vs a better opponent then he cna fight Ward but at the moment Bute is what most fans want
I don't recall him eating many more than the 2 flush shots he ate in the latter rounds, both of which caused him big trouble. I'm not here to openly bash Dirrell, but I do genuinely question the guys chin. I'll concede that Abraham is a big puncher and that the shots Dirrell ate may well have caused others a few problems but not to the extent of a KD and a KO + 21 month layoff. And how/why would I bother to comment on boxing if I don't watch it? :huh We're all adults here, lets keep things objective and not all act like keyboard warriors...
He got hit more than twice by Abraham... and he got hit by Froch too. give it a rest. But it is true that he had his chance to fight Ward, but pulled out. and if he is fighting now, then there is no reason why he could not have fought then.
Dirrell's handspeed and physical gifts would be troublesome, but my money would be on Ward, who has a better boxing brain and is more varied from a skill perspective. His mental focus, physical strength, and roughing on the inside would see him through to a decision.
Looks like the son of god is waiting the antichrist to come out of retirement for one last battle for mankind. he alone is worthy of the son of god.
