    This will be an easy fight compared to the fight with AA. Ward is great at leading with his head and using it as a weapon, great at holding and hitting(Ricky Hatton eat your heart out), he has decent speed, but he has no chin. Hence the bull**** dirty tactics. Yes believe it or not I think Ward is much more capable than his recent poor showings indicate. But does any concious boxing fan believe that Dirrell cant deal with that head in the chest hold and hit tactics Ward will no doubt try to employ?? When Ward does actually decide to take his head out of his opponents chest and box hes nothing more than a very poor mans Dirrell. Dirrell is faster, more intelligent, more natural switch hitter and arguably more powerful. I see Dirrell winning a clear UD or possibly a late KO. I can see a Dirrell counter or straight putting Ward on ***** street and then finish him. Wards only hope here is to somehow get Dirrell pinned on the ropes with his arms tied and cause a cut with Wards weapon of choice. His head.

    I hope you're right. While Ward is talented he's dirty as hell.

    Dirrel is fast and when he puts everything behind his blows he does damage like Froch and dropping AA he is fast enough faster than Ward

    I feel Andre lacks the toughness or heart

    Ward gets in there holds gets in a head butt or two does Andre fall roll around act etc

    If Dirrel fights tough and uses his legs and puts power with his shots he can win

    but thats a CAN not a WILL

    that all seems logical. odviously anything can happen. But that is a good analysis.Not sure Ward will try the same tactics .

    Hmmm, Ward has no chin? He was hit with some good shots by Miranda, who, for all his limitations, can punch. He is dirty and I don't like him but what is Dirrell? Always "slipping" whenever things get tough for him. Between Ward and Dirrell, Ward seems to be mentally far stronger and composed during a fight.

    If Dan Goossen thinks there is even a remote chance of Ward losing he'll make sure Dirrell gets harrrassed, fouled and/or disqualified to ensure Ward victory.

    Dirrell cant fight Ward's fight he needs to control his emotions and keep using the ring effectively. Can he do it? Yes, Will he do it? We got to wait but its not going to be as easy as the TS makes it sound. For me its really a pickem fight.

    Cant wait for this fight. The way Wards been fighting lately I can see Dirrel winning a decision, but something tells me we'll see something new from Ward that night

    Its really not that tough to figure out. Ward will come forward, throw a jab or 1 2 to get his opponents rhythm upset. Then its head in chest, clinch, drive to ropes. Once there throw weak, awkward punches while occasionally headwhipping. But this time the opponent is no mediocre, stare at your feet, ******* blown out kinda guy. It's the Matrix son. Probably one of the most skilled and intelligent fighters in the sport today. Dirrell has come along way in development stylewise as well. Hes for a long time been able to box and make people miss very well. But with every fight that goes by his confidence is growing and he's making people pay alot more. Hes the best in the business fighting while moving backwards and uses lateral movement better than anybody. So again. Can Ward be effective with his come forward dirty tactics? No. He can't. Dirrell by demolition.

    Dirrell ain't going to be doing much when he's pushed up against the ropes with his arms tied up getting headwhipped.

    To be honest, I like both fighters.
    They are both skilled and real students of the sweet science.

    Either one could come out on top in this match. It's really difficult for me to call, although I believe Ward is more prepared to do whatever it takes to win over Dirrell.
    For now, and I reserve the right to change my mind prior to fight night, my money is on Ward to win by SD.

    Agree completely. Dirrell is going to outbox him more comprehensively than people think. Ward has become very overrated. After what I saw Saturday night, I don't think he's nearly as good as advertised.

    I think dirrell is developing nicely in this tournament. He made froch look amateurish at times and boxed AA ears off. Just needs a little more discipline to stick to a gameplan and he will also box Ward's head off. He can use his superior athleticism to get past those rough tactics and keep ward honest with his speed of hand, foot and power. On another related point, i just watched direll vs golovkin. Direll has some serious potential and natural talent in there. What he lacked was seasoning and experience to stick to a gameplan.
