Done. Anybody that doesn't understand pro boxing is about money isn't worth bothering with. Froch could not get the same money fighting in England as he could get coming to the states to face Taylor. That is why he went out of his way to make the fight even though Taylor was disinterested. And it paid off for him big time for him. Bye-bye :hi:
wow this is honestly an absurd statement, what are you judging his skills based on fighting a bunch of glorified handpicked sparring partners. Anyone can look good against a handpicked opponnents who are precisely chosen to make you look good. Im not saying he doesnt have a chance but come on better than taylor. Is this andre dirrel posting on here
Dude, I can see Dirrell landing on Froch all night long but he can get a bit wild and wreckless in there and if he gets landed I cant see his chin holding up so as long as he stays out of range or does not get landed he may get a decision, no way he is knocking out Froch. Dirrell is not a big puncher, he is an accumulation type of puncher but his speed obviously adds some snap onto his punch so he could stun Froch but cant see the KO happening.
I get the impression that there is a lot of money in England for fights. Up and comers like Dawson struggle to get a thousand for a title fight, whereas York Hall can get not far off for a British Title fight. Taylor just wanted every advantage he could. Froch went over to test himself and prove himself as one of the best in the division whereas Taylor ducked the fight on English soil for the vacant title.
How many actually turned up to the fight not very many was it, would have sold 15-20k tickets in UK so hows it about the money? Froch took that fight for next to nothing he didnt even have a UK tv deal took it to make a name for himself by fighting a big name opponent and to build his rep.Thats hunger for you something Taylor would know nothing about>
:rofl:rofl:rofl brilliant you are a very funny man ever thought of doing stand up comedy i really think you should seriously!
You get the wrong impression then. Taylor already had a Showtime date lined up for fixed amount of money. Froch couldn't match it. Froch wanted a big name and a big payday. That is why he came to America. This was all pretty much discussed in past threads if you care to look them up. Bottom line is Froch wanted the money a name like Taylor could bring and he couldn't raise that money in England. This is really simple economics. Don't listen to the spin that was put on it after the fact. Taylor was the mandatory and he would have skipped the fight in England because it would have mean about a million or so less. Again, this is all brought up in threads around the time of the negotiations if you care to look them up.
Uh, you're a comedy genius yourself there, Jay. Do you read your posts? You come across like a teenage boy off his Ritalin.
If Dirrell shows up in good shape he can out point Froch if he follows a game plan. Froch is tough but I dont think Dirrell will go into mental meltdown like JT and he could learn a lot by watching that fight. I think Dirrells ability to RUN when need be is the difference. He can take a lead and literally box circles around Froch and retreat if need be. If Froch wins it would be similar to the Taylor fight. Froch wears him down and takes him out late. Froch may be a little dented after the Taylor fight. He did take some huge shots.
dude, even froch would tell you he was seconds away from a very lopsided UD loss to taylor...like the poster above said, dirrell has a chance if he follows a gameplan. froch has heart and a good chin so he can't be counted out either. but to give dirrell no shot disregards the significant flaws froch has and that were glaring in the jt fight
Froch had beaten NO ONE until the Pascal and Taylor fights. Your only as great as the opportunities you get and Dirrell will get his chance soon. Then we can grade him and his skills.
