Glen Johnson should e let loose on Ward :deal let's see whether Wars can so any better than Dawson or Cloud, then have the winner face winner of Froch-Abraham! If Johnson can make the weight, with his durability and experience he has the tools to give any of these guys a great fight, Frochy Vs Glencoffe would be a WAR!!!!
SAVED......? its over. It has insulted the definition of a tournament. Do teams get replaced during the Football World Cup...? NO Do athlete's in the tour de france, when they drop out.....get replaced by their teams...? NO The Supersixx is a ****ing joke, a ****ing pathetic gay, waste of a time tournament. Finished, nobody cares about it.
And if starving hyenas are let loose on Dirrell, I'm all for it! If Johnson did fight Ward, I'm wonder if Dirrells neuro problem will go away so he can fight Green..
PK as usual i commend your passion and enthusiasm, tbh you did have this stand-point from the get go and are sticking to it fair play. The Tyson comparison is BOLLOX however You used the same Tyson-'86 comparison when discussing David Haye and its equally irrelevent here. Tyson if memory serves won the title in the last of the 13 fights you mentioned in 86 and defended it 4 times the follwing year?? 3-4's pretty par man and the super 6 for all its flaws has put on say 6 title fights, no big difference. Tyson fighting 13 times in a year is impressive, the comepetition wasnt and nowhere the level the super6 fighters are at so quit using 86 Tyson as a yardstick. And whoever said its making fights that would have been made anyway, no chance. Abraham wouldnt have come outta Germany twice, Dirrell's shown his 'nut-allergy' in the Froch fight and todays event so he would've taken an easy option than travel to Nottingham for the Froch challenge and tbh Carl probably would not have chosen to travel to Herning all had it not been for Super 6. The idea was GREAT, the attempt was brave but the implementation and concept itself could have been better to say the least
Finally, finally someone gets it and his name is "nutjob". We got some good fights out of it and in that sense it was a success. Now that I've said that, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. Why is Dirrell pulling out not a surprise? Why? Why the ****? **** man, this sucks I saw this thread before, I actually read the words "Dirrell withdraws from super 6" and it didn't register. Then I saw it again, got stopped in my tracks and thought "what the ****?" Like when you watch Tom and Jerry and Tom is looking for Jerry, he walks past and Tom says hi, then his eyes pop out like "did I just see that ****"?:admin It was one of those moments. Primadonnakool, I said it then "the super six is the best thing to happen to boxing in a long time". I will say it again "the super six is the best thing to happen to boxing in a long time". It will continue to give us good fights such as Abraham/Froch, and I don't give a **** about what it's done to the concept of a "tournament". Who gives a ****? If tommorow they announced that there was a super six in the 140lb division wih Khan, Ortiz, Maidana, Bradley, Alexander and someone else, do you know what I would do? I would bust a nut, blow my load, cream my pants, that's what I would do. Would I expect the tournament to go smoothly? Hell no, but would we get SOME good fights out of it that would not have happened otherwise? YES, YES, YES!!!!!!! but I agree that the gap between fights is too ****ing long. That **** happens anyway though.
It was always destined to fail anyhow lol. Perhaps if it took place over a shorter period of time there would be less room for failure. Theres no reason the fights couldnt have been closer together. 3 months apart for each bout would have been plenty of time
Mike Tyson was the Heavyweight Champion of the World, he fought 13 times in 1986, smashing his way through the Heavyweight Division. Mike Tyson fought 13 times in one year, the the sport of boxing. The Supersixx was a boxing tournament right..? we are talking about boxing right..? Mike Tyson was one man, fighting 4 times in one year, after that. Why could'nt they do this Super Sixx in 1 year....? Why Chris Eubank signed a deal with Sky to fight 6 - 8 times in one year, he was'nt ****ing assed. Boxers these days are ***gots, they take way to long to recover inbetween fights. This was meant to be a tournament, the whole idea of a tournament is to keep the action coming fast. There should of been a 2month recovery period, inbetween fights. If they are still carrying afew bruised ego's going into their next fights, then so ****ing what............thats the point, tournaments are a test of endurance. I ****ing hate it, and anybody who says it was a success is a ****ing bell-end. The Supersixx promised to save boxing, and bring it back to the masses. It did none of that, and it was a complete failure, a complete failure.......... I ****ing hate it, ****ING HATE IT.
Who's assed about the ****ing fights..... You would be a terrible, terrible buisness man. I have no problem with the fights that where made. But when the Super Sixx was annouced. We where promised that this concept would save boxing, bring loads of attention back to the sport, get people interested at grass roots, and turn the boxers involved into superstars. Its done none of that, none of that has come true. Its been a complete failure, and complete and utter failure and i ****ing hate it......i ****ing can't stand it, it ****ing knocks me sick. Carl Froch is still a No Mark, Audley Harrison is still bigger than Carl Froch.
