Lets not get carried away here. Roy had once in a lifetime athleticism. Remember roy had whole body quickness. Remeber those huge lead left hooks or right hands he could catch people with. Dirrell dont have that same foot speed but apart from that the upper body movement, hand speed and timing is for real.

I think hes maturing physically and mentally now and will probably be peak in the coming year or so.

If that is all you see from dirrell, then you are just an idiot period. Try throwing in the good with your bias bad. You can't do it and that's why you are a childish idiot.

Dirrell is what boxers floyd call a "cutie" a william jopey type fighter. they care more about not getting that roughed up and when it gets too hot they fold

William Joppy at his best is nothing to what dirrell is now. Not defensively, speedwise or pop. Nobody wants to get roughed up and people who do get rough due so out of necessity. Dirrell doesn't have to rough fighters up because he doesn't have to do that to win. Froch has to do that to win. Dirrell can handle someone trying to rough him up. He's figuring it out as shown in the AA fight. Basically if he is agressive and dictates to his opponent, he is gonna be hard to beat. He can be defensive and offensive at the same time with lightning percision even in the midst of a strong flurry. Nothing controlls a fighter like making them miss while you catch them consistantly. That is what breaks fighters down mentally keeping them hesitant to punch or loading up on the punches they do throw. Ward can also do both at the same time but kessler, froch and abraham are either being defensive or offensive at certain times.

The kid has greatness in him. He is touching the highest level of skill and will be able to completely reach that potential within a year or two. Ward like I said is touching it also but i feel dirrell's potential is up with the likes of PBF and Pac. I feel he has that potential in him.
