I've seen a few Cunningham fights before, and he's not awful, but he's definitely a regional level guy. Straightforward southpaw, good power in his lead hand when he sits on it, good fan base in the Detroit area. Not a ton of talent or technical skill, but he seems to work his ass off. I hope he can make the fight decent, but Dirrell really is in a different class.

Peter, was a fat piece of **** and is an example of everything that is wrong in the heavyweight division. Kessler fought a nobody I do not care what he was ranked. The point is that all the opponents were not very good . . . so what is your point!

i would be downright ****ing embarrassed to fight a guy with that ****ed up resume...and dont forget, he is 37 years old...
here comes the excuses "well hes been on a layoff" sugar ray was off 2 years and fought hagler....dirrell aint sugar ray ray, cunningham aint hagler...but could find a happy medium...

The ****tards on this forum just keep getting worse.

If Dirrell's 1st fight back was against Abraham they would still cry.

Were you bitching as much when he was set to fight Pavlik?

..and Dirrell is not mentally weak. You get on your knees and take a sucker punch from Abraham and tell me how the **** you feel.

Poor Cunningham  Dude was so far out of his depth, I just felt bad. At least he got some money out of it. Probably much more than I'm making right now, so maybe I don't feel that bad.

I agree this is a weak fight in terms of a high calibre fighter coming back, but let's not presume he's sticking to this LOC for long. I gotta think he wants Abraham next, at least if I were him I would.

But even if he steps up vs the likes Andrade or even Sartison next I'll be happy with his lofty rating by his huggers on ESB.:deal

dirrell will win a belt..... but fights like this are pointless...his sparring is probably tougher than this..... if andrew ward is the best fighter at 168 in the world...and cunningham was near the bottom....theres alot more in between that would have at least been competitive.....

95 % of people on these boards cant help but live in the past and all want rematches to close a story to their liking ...put a nice little bow on a fight because they didnt like the way it ended.... no point in Andre fighting a guy in Abraham that has lost 3 out of his 4 fights
