I was in the middle of throwing a shot and got caught a peach, plus my balance was off! My mates jab was awesome and yip down I went! Here is what a jab can do against what was a liberty but you get the point! I've got my back to you and it's at 0:40 secs! http://www.youtube.com/user/sdog2006?feature=mhw4#p/u/7/o0EuFVqJnGM
Who the hell risks a KO loss in a fight that they are clearly winning? It was clearly a flush shot on a totally defenseless fighter who was down. Now, if the score cards had been reversed, and Dirrell was as far down on the scorecards as AA was...THEN I could see crying "fake". But the dude was winning...AND thought he'd lost. WTF? Only logical explanation is that he got his clock cleaned and couldn't continue...and yes, the brain absolutely does strange things after a huge impact. And finally, for those who thought his "twitching" was faked...look at how Roy Jones stiffens up, look at how some fighters with even throw punches while laying on their back knocked out cold. Delayed response and years of muscle memory can collide and lead to a brief pause. But even watching the video over and over, it's not like he took a knee and then lay down. It was THUMP! *pause* collapse. Far from the first time we've seen that kind of KO in boxing...people just need to apply a pinch of logic here..
Can't afford a DVR? It's obvious you don't have one, otherwise you wouldn't be bullshitting like this.
Dude, Chris Byrd was knocked out cold by Ike Ibeabuchi years ago, and thought he had WON the fight. He argued that he hadn't even been knocked down...and it blew his mind watching the replay. Memory loss often comes with serious head trauma....c'mon people, it's not like he twisted a freaking ankle. He got clobbered with a clean, unprotected, unseen flush shot by a big puncher. Why is his reaction such a surprise?
I'm not even a huge AA fan but there was something about it. Usually those shots that leave you convulsing and with memory loss don't let you cry for a bit then go down
Why was Vivian Harris able to walk back to his corner before collapsing after receiving a headbutt from Noe Bolanos?
If those are unlikely reactions to a punch then why would Direll incorporate them in to his "act"? I mean, why not just lay there? He throws in convulsions and twitching -- for what? If you were trying to feign being knocked out in front of thousands of home town fans would you start convulsing? You wouldn't, would you? So then why do you suppose Andre thought it was a swell idea to throw in some fake twitching and convulsing. It's utterly preposterous.
YOUR VERY IGNORANT....U CAN MAKE SPECULATIONS BUT AS THE STARTER OF THE THREAD PUT IT, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN..HE COULD HAVE JUST BEEN LOOKING IN THAT DIRECTION..HE COULD HAVE GLANCED UP..A NUMBER OF REASONS WHY HE LOOKED AT THE REF...CMON NOW MAN R U REALLY THAT IGNORANT MAN:deal
Granted I agree but what the **** could I do about it lol? Point is he was ****ed up off a jab! U seen Bowe vs. Holyfield 1? Bowe stuns Holyfield with a jab. If you throw it correctly it can do damage!
Exactly. I wonder how many fights some of these people have seen! They don't seem to know that delayed reaction knockdowns/knockouts happen all the time in boxing, or that boxers do and say strange things after getting clocked with a punch!!atsch
