Every state in the US is a little different, but generally speaking, a misdemeanor can get you up to a year in jail. In terms of what Dirrell's uncle gets sentenced to, a lot of it will probably depend on his prior criminal history. If this is his first offense, he likely won't get any jail time....probably just probation and a fine. I'm not really sure how probation works when you live in a different state though.

Many years ago back in Texas a guy @the gym, we all called him the poser as he never sparred or trained hard, took one of the guys 16 yr old sister to the movies. Instead of driving her home he drove out to the boondocks assaulted her
She tolf her friend who told the guys in gym. One guy got in ring with him said
" I heard what you did to Jenny lats see how you like being hurt" He tried to run out but there were fighters waiting on all 4 sides of the ring. He got the heck beat out of him just what he deserved. Never came to gym again Wise move
