I respect holyfield immensely for all that he did and his fearless confidence taking on all comers. That said, he did more than likely ingested enough PEDs to kill a horse and he liked using his head in certain fights. Not as flagrant as the others mentioned above though when it comes to his head.

Maidana fought dirty as hell against Mayweather but no one talks about it because anything goes against Mayweather. Plus fouling from time to time is apart of the sport. Only when their fighter loses, people cry about rough tactics.

Ward definitely is competitive for this title. Not only for his 2nd fight against Kovalev - but if you turn back the clock a few years earlier to 2009 - he headbutted Mikkel Kessler repeatedly to open up cuts that eventually required a stoppage of the fight.

 

It is only dirty if you get penalised, the rest is all part of the game, fighters and their teams do everything in their power to gain advantage be that chemically, physically, mentally, through to influencing as much else as they can, be that ring size, through to rehydration or rematch clauses.

All dirty tricks in reality but i sure would rather face a headbutter, than a fighter with a lab full of PED chemicals in his system.

The authorities and officials are not penalising dirty boxing, so officially it is not happening, now bring back Zivic, Mysterious Billy Smith, Wolgast, and their ilk, and you will get true dirty boxing master classes then

If we're talking about active boxers today, boots ennis is extremely dirty. His last 2 knockouts came from punching his opponent in the back of the head as hard as he could.

The amount of obscenities I hurled at my TV during the Ruiz Johnson fight has to be close to a personal record
