Also there was a little brummie boxer in England called rocky lawlor ( bantam-super feather ) I remember him getting DQ'd against I think Robert Dickie
Riddick Bowe. He should have be DQ'd after hitting Buster Mathis jr when he was down but somehow it was ruled a no contest, threw about 500 low blows against Coetzer and he wasn't the only one in there fouling in the Golota fights.
Mysterious Billy Smith- The undisputed king, imo. 11 DQ losses (possibly more that haven't been found yet). BIT the top of Joe Walcott's head. Go look at his record. He was DQ'd in practically every way a fighter CAN be DQ'd! Kid Norfolk- might have more DQ losses than anyone of his era. Chuck Wiggins- a notorious headbutter and streetfighter. Sandy Saddler- may have been the cleverest, most subtle fouler of them all. Sailor Tom Sharkey- Rough and mean. He wanted a street fight and didn't care if you fouled him too. Head, elbows, low blows, wrestling, body-slamming....just keep the donnybrook moving and Tom was happy. Greb wasn't as dirty as they try and make him out to be. Klompton has pretty much dispelled that myth for me.
Some of the notes on Smith's boxrec page are priceless! * Reported as Smith's "comeback" bout. He was disqualified for wrestling and holding. Cameron subbed for Rufus Williams. Tacoma Daily News * Crowd cries fake. Smith said he weighed 150 but looked 170; he was fat and in no condition to fight. * Results from the Baltimore American. This bout took place at Germania Maennerchor Hall. Smith indulged in several "mad rushes" throughout, during once of which his eye came into contact with Jackson's head and split open. Smith's corner threw in the sponge before the start of the thrid round, claiming their man couldn't see. * Smith knocked Ferns down 15 times before fouling him. * Police stopped the fight when it got too wild, Captain Wittman stating: "Gentlemen, I will tolerate boxing contests, but no slogging; if the fighters can select a referee who will see that a fair boxing contest is carried on, I will not object, but this slogging game I will certainly not permit." Immediately after this the referee declared the fight a draw. Gallagher refused to go on with the fight as long as the referee had decided the match a draw. (San Francisco Call) * Smith fouled on a break. It had been reported that McCoy would claim the "middleweight championship" if he won. The Los Angeles Times * Police intervened to save Jackson from further punishment. * Gorman was disqualified for wrestling
