Holyfield used his head like a mother****er. It wasnt even so much intentional, he would just lunge in a lot head first, it was pretty much a third fist. He never seemed to do it so much on purpose, it was just how he fought. Anytime he fell into an opponent, always head first, like it was instinctual.
Tito Trinidad used to hit low especially when found in trouble. He used low blows against Vargas, David Rid, Campas, Roy Jones and against a few more fighters.
Does anyone remember a feather champ in the late 70`s early 80`s Eusebio Pedroza? He would use his head , hold and hit. And constantly bang below the belt. Man he won ugly. But all the rough tactics he used, would kind or wear down his opponents physically and mentally. Lockridge and Laporte come to mind against Pedroza. Consistent dirtywork always got it done for him...
great fighter who were dirty...holyfield, b-hop, fenech, tyson.....hell, ali did a lot of holding and hitting and pulling fighters onto punches......
What he said. Golota did everything to lose. As dirty as he was he didnt do it in trying to win but rather out of pure nuttyness.
Hopkins is the Worst in Boxing History. Did anyone notice his gay ass antics when he was getting schooled by Joe C? It was Bernard's most pathetic performance yet. I pray every night to Baby Jesus that Hops moves up to HW and fights Toney, I want to see him try some of his BS tricks with JT, baby.
He actually offered to fight Toney at CW but Toney had trouble cutting down the weight from 250 to 200 limit.
That was Brilliant mate, great fight but it's Hilarious too. When Saddler pushes the ref out the way like c'mere you!! and they just start trying to trip each other up while thumbing, healing, rabbiting any where possible!!!! A Classic!
Miguel Cotto, seems to hit low blows at vital moments. Joel Casamayor. Bernard hopkins (over hand straight....followed by head) Floyd mayweather Great utilisation of the elbow. Top fighters need an element of dirty tactics to suceed.
