You had a dead man in front of you for 4 rounds wanting to get K.O'd and you couldn't get the job done. Uppercut was missing by a mile. I think plant and benavidez both beat him at SMW.
He just pitched a shutout (or close to it) against the super middleweight Ring champion. At least give him some credit. I'm not really a Canelo fan but that was fantastic work.
Dude fights a champion from above his own division, after a layoff, against a guy so much taller than him it looks like a circus fight, wins a title in a fight where he bosses the bigger man... but, its disappointing because he lacked the raw power to stop the larger man? ...
GTFO Canelo looked unbelievable and Smith took a beating. When somebody decides to just take the beating and go 12 it's very very hard to stop them.
Agreed, Benavidez would be a tough fight for Canelo. I don't see Caleb beating Canelo although he'd give a better performance than Smith.
I'm not a Canelo fan but assuming he wasn't roided and Smith was prepared, it was one of the Wranger's better wins.
