Floyd was just as exciting to watch at 130 and 135

  2. Back to your default answer...let me crush your theory and spirit.

How many 12 round no KD fights have made FOTY?

If exciting is subjective in Boxing why does a 12 round Floyd,BHOP,Ward type performance not even get nominated for a FOTY candidate? Are all those Boxing writers today and historically bias? Anti Floyd? How can you possibly say that Hagler/Hearns Gatti/Ward compared to Floyd/Pac Floyd/Berto Floyd.De La Hoya are subjective as to which are more exciting.

If Tyson was a brilliant Boxer and wasn't destroying guys would he still be viewed the same even with the same accomplishments?

Like I said earlier if pbf is so boring why in the hell is he the biggest draw in the history of the sport? If pbf is so boring why did he make more money than anyone in the history of the sport? If pbf is so boring why in the hell is a so called boring retired fighter still the most talked about fighter on this forum? Like I always say boring is subjective skills aren't remember that.

Action fighters aren't the only ones "worthy" of promotion. Real boxing fans shouldn't be measuring fighters under this ****ty criteria. I want to see skills on display, offense and defense and smart gameplans. Heart too.

I enjoy watching real boxing, which means a fighter out to fistically capitalize on a come forward aggressive fighters mistakes.
Juan Manuel Marquez is the epitome of such a boxer.

When has Juan Manuel Marquez used clinching, elbowing, and holding tactics to stall a fight?

Mayweather for example doesn't implement pure fistic boxing skills.
He holds, clinches, elbows, and does all that extra-curriculur illegal stuff that sadly refs allow fighters to get away with.
All these illegal tactics stall fistic action so obviously that type of style isn't going to be eye appealing.

The hype and Mayweather's antics outside of the ring have more to do with selling himself than his actual skills in the ring.

***, violence (outside the ring), and showing off money, sells.
Mayweather has certainly has showed off his mundane lifestyle to the masses in this era where you can do that minute to minute.

Bernard Hopkins has a very similar fighting style to Floyd's but cant draw flies to his fights.
Difference is Hopkins does'nt show off a mundane lifestyle to the masses that are the buyers.

Bull**** the man when active was the most skilled fighter in the sport. The man you just referenced earlier in this thread in jmm would tell you that. You have to wonder why jmm was willing to fight Pac 4 times and turned down a rematch with pbf despite the fact he would be getting a career high payday and a shot at redemption. That right there tells you everything you need to know.

Juan Manuel Marquez respects Mayweather's skillset, but he'll also be the first to tell you Mayweather does'nt fight and gets away with a lot of antics that are illegal.
......and a Mayweather rematch was never offered to Marquez.

Of Mayweather, Marquez has said, he's to big for me and he does'nt offer a shooting target for someone like me who cant overwhelm him with strenghth and power.
Marquez understands style issues in this situation.

Just saw a video on youtube playing word association with Freddie Roach...........
Juan Manuel Marquez- Roach said, "Best counterpuncher I ever saw."

Floyd Mayweather- Roach said with a grin, "second best counterpuncher I ever saw."

Trainers and fighters respect Mayweather's ability, but they will also be the first to admit he's to cautious and is on the boring side to watch.

How can you listen to rap? All it is is guys yelling about money, hoes, drugs, and killing people.. Maybe old school rap was a little better with substance, but not by much..

How can you watch Floyd? All he does is run, hold, and throw one punch at a time.. Maybe young Floyd was more offensive, but not much..

Country music they actually play instruments.. They tell stories that are entertaining and sounds beautiful..

Pacquaio actually fights.. He comes out swinging and will try to take his to hit you.. It looks beautiful..

Not an actual representation of how I really feel.. It's the arguments you will get on here.. You can't say movies are entertaining and books aren't to a book reader...
