Personally without the bogus knockdown I would have had it 116-112 (I think), however I may have been swayed by having my achoholic middle aged cricket club, thinking they knew what they where talking about. Haven't watched it since and personally I don't want to. Haye was to scared to really go for, much like Wlad, but the size difference and superior jab was far to good for Haye. Had he actually pushed for the KO even early on he would have had a better chance of winning, however I feel he was just to scared to get KTFO.

Haye underestemated Vlad and his game plan went to **** straight from the start. Couldnt get into range without taking massive risk and wasnt prepared to risk much. Vlad had the upper hand even though he was quite negative himself and picked up the points.

I expected Haye to maybe go for broke around the 9th as everybody knew he was losing on the cards but he didnt until the last round and a half and even that was a muted effort, all just too little too late.

He may not admit it to many but i bet hes kickin himself (watch the toe) he worked damn hard chasing Vlad round the world pissing him off, got his WBA belt as leverage too and come time to deliver he didnt and he must know he could of done more.

Vlad did what he had to. Took as little risk as he needed to and won the fight. Nothing wrong with that.

My non-biased opinion is that their fight bored me and I really don't care that much about either of them.

  6. Worst HW Hyped fight ever.

    **** was garbage.

but wait I think it's Lennox's fault tbh cuz Wlad said he will be following his idol's gameplan against Tua

**** fight from 2 guys scared to get hit, Wlad won wide due to work rate BUT there was no domination, Haye was embarrassing as he began to drop to his knees when ever he got near Wlad, funny thing though is Haye took Wlad's punch alot better than Vice versa, but it was a terrible fight that showed how far down HW boxing is.

Wlad cut Haye off, put him against the ropes and kept his jab going. i had one or two rounds for Haye. the little klit didn't hand out a beating but he was in control and dominated that 'fight' easily

I thought Haye edged all of the close rounds, which was eleven rounds, and one clear for Haye who scored the best punch of the fight. To me, he was blatantly robbed. Highway robbery with a "German" decision. That's completely unbiased, because I don't even like Haye.

  11. actaully, Wladimir said it was gonna be boring from the start.

Just reading Wladimir's interview on the scene back before the fight.

Wladimir said 'my idol is Lennox Lewis, I follow Lennox's game plan against opponents'

He said against guys he feel is similar to the guys Lewis fought he will follow Lewis's game plan to a tee.

I guess Wlad thought Haye was Tua, because he said he rewatched the Lewis Tua fight and basically played it out against Haye.

Blame Lennox. It's all his fault.

When the Padawan fails to deliver excitement, the Jedi Master is the one to blame.

But then again, if Wlad went out all ape **** against Haye, he might have gotten knocked out.

So great great technical fight from Wladimir

Great job Wladimir, it was boring but you won

Haye's defense was very good, but he didn't use it to mount a counter attack. For all his speed and exaggerrated power he'd only throw one punch at a time. You can't be a great champion by doing that. Haye couldn't counter or throw a 2 punch combination to save his life.

Haye couldn't touch Wlad yet destroyed Chisora. Wlad was cleary much physically stronger than Haye during their fight. literally throwing Haye around like a rag doll. In a rematch, I see Wlad coming out much more aggressive and knocking Haye out early

Haye has always got a lot of criticism for this fight - rightly so too, he was far too inactive and too focused on not getting hit. However, Wlad hardly covered himself in glory either. He was against a guy who was defensive for the majority of the fight and yet he wasn't doing anything either. Everyone likes to talk up Wlad's power but we all know Haye has a glass chin, so what does it say about Wlad that he couldn't hurt Haye once?

The fight was pretty much a stalemate. Wlad went into the fight as a boxer/puncher, who had lethal power. Haye went in as a quick, agile counter puncher who hit very hard. Neither man did anything to improve public opinion.

Wlad won a boring boxing match by, remarkably, being more active. Haye lost the fight because his best way to win, by hurting Wlad which he clearly did do, was taken away by his painful inactivity.

Just a horrible advertisement for boxing. It's the type of fight you get when both fighters overestimate how good the opponent is. The truth is, neither fighter is what they are billed as being and this fight clearly showed that. It was a battle of 'Can't vs. won't'. I'll let you decide who plays which role in that.

He actually did...He said it countless times before the fight. Only problem is that he had no plan B. He was supposed to easily KO a very slow fighter. But he was surprised by wlad's speed once he was inside the ring.

All Klitschko had to do was to avoid Haye's one dimensional gameplan and impose his routine...Jab , jab jab...etc...

It was a disappointing fight. But it had its moments.

Haye vs Valuev was worse and so was Wladimir vs Sultan Ibragimov
