That is an insult to journalism.

I like how it's reached the stage on ESB where you have to explicitly ask for non biased, serious responses in the thread title

a very suspenseful fight....a showcase of technical skill....great head movement from Haye, Wlad's jab and footwork on point to fight his fight, both guys taking a couple good shots to shut up the chinchecking d-bags......I'd buy the rematch

I'd agree with this. The fight was only a disappointment because of the hype and Haye's toe excuse. I also remember a whole bunch of Klit-tards expressing their admiration for Haye's slickness and defensive skills in the days following the fight.

I was surprised by Wlad's footspeed and general movement. He usually looks quite stiff and cumbersome to me, but in the Haye fight he saved himself again and again by jumping backwards, leaning away from shots. Sometimes he used his lead arm and elbow to keep Haye's punches away while he did this.

I think part of the problem was the predictability of Haye's attacks. He did the same thing again and again -- circling, then trying to ambush Wlad with a left and a right. Wlad was usually ready for that, aside from Haye's best moment in the twelfth round. Haye should have been more creative with his attacks. He had moments in the third round, like when he jumped forward swinging as usual, but this time he actually followed Wlad as Wlad moved backwards, and threw a further two shots at him that partially landed. That might have been the key for him -- a chain of attacks rather than just trying the left-right ambush again and again. When Wlad was jumping away from attacks he wasn't really trying to counter in the midst of Haye's attacks -- he was just backing off and then resetting again. Wlad doesn't like exchanges, probably due to his past KO losses, so he chose the safer option of concentrating on defence, then going back to offence when Haye's attacks ended. Haye should have taken advantage of that by building off his initial attacks more and surprising Wlad. The significant size advantage also didn't help matters, as Haye was having to punch upwards at Wlad, and that takes power out of your shots.

Predictability is some part of it, but it's mostly the size difference. The size difference killed the fight, and it'll ruin any other fight between him and either brother in the future.

Wlad is a defensively minded fighter, so against a big puncher like Haye he does just enough to win. It'd be nice if there was better competition for Haye around his size.

I also enjoyed the fight. I thought it was much better than given credit for. I also would buy the rematch. I enjoy tactical fights just as much as I do brawls. I watch boxing for the craft and suspense more than I do for the violence and brutality.

After watching Tony T second attempt at K's titles and with only 3 losses, 2 to W K, I have no doubts whatsoever that haye is the only man who can stand up and fight either of the K and W K knows that but he dismissed the possibility in the Tony T post fight interview... One week b4 Haye devastated Chisora and Dan Rafael was expecting Chisora to get it on with W K.

Pretty much on point. Wlad is not a counter puncher but Vit is. Sure want to see V getting on with Haye and how it's gonna get laid out

    A rematch? :rofl:patsch

You must be a glutton for punishment. Was a boring fight with huge hype. After seeing Haye against Valuev and Wlad it is why I have no desire to see him against Vitali.

Iam a hugh Klitschko fan and maybe one of the most unbiased posters on this forum, but is was a hugh let down fight for me 12 rounds of Wlad landing 2 or 3 punches and the grabbing and Haye's flopping and that stupid knockdown and for a fight that was years in the making there was no action. Haye didnt want to engage and Wlad didnt want to take foolish risks made for a very dull fight to be honest but Wlad did almost pitch a shutout but you know fore what ever thats worth
