Disgraceful Brawl at Australian fight night

    This thread puts me in mind of an incident Justin Fortune, a former fireplug OZ heavy, and now trainer, told me:

    "I fought in the Enmore Theater in Sydney. The promoter was a junkie. Instead of putting on a feed at the weigh-in...the way everyone else does, they had a strip show..and a ****'n sex act. The ring girls were whores and they just peeled-off all their clothes. Girls were fighting with their boyfriends for staring at the girls--unbelievable! It brought boxing back 100 years! At the end of the fight, my check bounced and I got the promoter by the throat. It's comical.

    The promoter used to take the deposits, payments, sponsor's money and go home... give his wife a slapp'n around. She'd call the cops. He'd get locked up...He'd have an excuse not to return any money. He was priceless!"

    No countries fans have a monopoly on idiot behavior, it seems to happen everywhere. Soccer fans are notorious for riots (even if it's not the norm). Fans rioting and turning over cars in the States, after their team wins (don't get that ****), remember the 20-30 minute ruckus in MSG after the Golata-Bowe fight back in the 90's.

    I'm waiting to see Golf or tennis fans get crazy. Can you Imagine that.

    It's tends to be restricted to local events, but some of our higher profile fighters even seem to have dickhead hangers-on who make the papers for ****ing around in the audience and threatening people...

    just a bit of background. the winner is most likely lebanese judging by his name. there were lots of problems and riots between whites and lebanese in australia in the past few years - this mightve been a result of those feelings

    No mate, I don't think there was anything racial in this brawl, it was all bravado, the way those idiots flooded the ring and ran around with their chests puffed out... Then I guess **** just escalated!

    We got a little thing down here we call Muzza's or Mario's, guys that act tough but only when in gangs of about 30+, that video right there was a fine example
