To all those who seem to thinks Scotty's chin is still fine because the punch was on the back of the head:

Firstly, it was hardly the worst back of the head punch ever, was it? He must have taken many, many shots like that from far harder punchers in the past and they never troubled him in then, did they?

Secondly, that was not the first punch he had taken in the fight that he seemed to react to. I'm not saying he was hurt or anything, but he did get stung a little bit by a non puncher.

Perhaps it was just ring rust and he'll shake it off with a few more fights, but to think Harrison has the same granite chin he had at his peak is being optimistic to say the least.

 

Unless he's fighting a top class opponent who is not 7 years past their best. Come to think of it, that never happened, so who knows?

 

i dont want to see burns vs harrison for a few reasons. 1. harrison dnt no where near deserve it yet. 2 i want to see burns go on to try and prove he's elite world class. which harrison never did imo. 3. being a scot i hate seeing 2 scottish fighters i like going at it, i dnt look forward to the fight.

i dont agree with bunce in thinking its better if our world class boxers stay over here and fill big stadiums in big domestic scraps. sure its big money but as a world level fighter you only get proper respect in the trade if you fight the best over the pond, sad but true. i love seeing our guys go over there and do a job. this is what im looking forward to in burns! i want to see him go over there and prove every doubter wrong, especially those yanks that are mouthing off calling burns a bum!

 

Yanks call anyone a bum at the drop of a hat. Its something that really winds me up about the general boxing forum. I can just picture the type of stupid fat mess now sitting at his computer raping his fist, ramming bits of folded up pizza into his loudmouth gub slamming anyone who isn't Andre Ward or Floyd Mayweather or that dares to continue to box after picking up a solitary defeat screaming 'HES A GAWD DARN BUM!', even though they have never seen a fitness gym (never mind a boxing gym) in their lives.

 

harrison is no bum,he was never a bum,a very tough fighter,not the best in his time but still a force.
He has nothing left now,if you can't see that dunky you are blinded by your blatant man love of him .
I was like this with benn,(although benn was not this washed up)but even i knew he was washed up come the collins fights but was still cheering him on.
If he fights burns it will be the biggest missmatch in boxing for years it stinks of wank ****** esk matchmaking,money only.
burns don't need this its like going back down to area title level,he will loose massive respect from a hell of a lot of boxing fans,well apar from you dunky,for some reason you think he deserves a shot:roll: mind you,you are the most bias man about 1 country and its boxers wether they are a bag of **** or not i have ever seen :thumbsup

Seems that this may be a debate that we will never find out the answer too. Love the Harrison quote "they can't send me to jail, I have a world title fight in December"

 

i have alot of man love for scott (homo)

 

makes perfect sense for burns.
big payday for an easy fight for him.

so easy he could fight very soon again afterwards.
