The fight between Haye vs Valuev is such a mismatch in size....nearly a foot in height and over 100 lbs. If this fight can be sanctioned why would a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Joe Calzaghe or Roy Jones be subject to extreme criticism? The difference is greater in the heavyweight bout.

Indeed, lets hope he knocks Haye back to the stone age.

cause Valuev sucks. These other guys you are mentioning are competing with other fighters of their own size and emerging as some of the very best. If Pacquiao fought someone the size of Joe Calzaghe but with the ability of Nicolay Valuev, he would knock that ****er out.

If his talent matched his size he would be unstoppable, but when a 46 year old has a debatable victory over you(although a HOF fighter), you are limited.

So thats the reason that this fight is sanctioned?....because Valuev sucks?

no, thats the reason its not subject to extreme criticism. The reason its sanctioned is that both Valuev and Haye fall under the same division.

It's not like short small men in the HW division haven't beaten freaks like this clown Valuev before. It really isn't that big of a deal.

Skilled 220 man beats unskilled 320 man almost every time. No need for a SHW division...

Heavyweights never get the respect they deserve and they dont help themselves as alot of them come in out of shape which helps the myth of a weak division.

It makes a mockery of the smaller men really but then promotors/tv etc have marketed it well witht he creation of so many disivisions and the pound for pound list.

Floyd would not take on Clinton Woods ever.............yet techincally there is only 30 pounds difference.......yet Chris Byrd had to take on Tua, Ibeauchi, Vitali, Vladimir and Golota......who all outweighed him by 30, 40 or 50 pounds.

Hypocricy by all involved...including many fans. If its okay for Haye to fight Valuev then it should be okay for Pacquiao to fight Calzaghe.
