Dispelling A Silly Fallacy: Gennady Does Not Fear Lara-He Poses No Threat To Golovkin

Lara has Angulo problems.

 

Lara is like a Willie Monroe. Box southpaws who jab and have long reach. Golovking would KO Lara around round 9-10. But expect to see a lot of running. It will make the Canelo fight look like slow motion.

How did you come up with this conclusion? The dude gets off the canvas to win.. technically he should only have one loss as I feel he beat a peak Paul Williams, and many argue the fact that he beat Canelo.

of course, you're right...ggg hasn't earned a high standing. his level of comp has been consistently low...and even when you compare his performances against that low level of opposition with what other guys did, its nothing special....to illustrate, look at rosado (ko'd by quillen and lemieux), geale (ko'd by cotto), murray (lost to a crippled sergio that cotto demolished), lemieux (ko'd by rubio), rubio (old and washed up, dominated by anthony dirrell), stevens (dominated by ndam) and ouma (coming off back-to-back losses at that stage of his career)...lets not even get into the ridiculous monroe/wade discussion...

there is no comparision between ggg's silly record and what lara has done against consistently high opposition. but hbo has done a helluva job hyping up ggg far beyond his accomplishments merit.

it's the perfect scenario for a guy like lara to come from "nowhere" and upset ggg...liike holmes- c00ney...like holm-rousey. no question lara beats ggg pretty bad and exposes him for the hype job he is.

 

ggg struggled with ouma...ouma was old and washed up...but if you think about it, ouma is one of the best names on ggg's record. murray won rounds against ggg :rofl...that by itself says all you need to know.

it's kinda like math...you can't escape the logic of it. lara will beat ggg's a88 because lara is simply a better fighter than ggg.

It was the same logic that applied to rigo-donaire...and floyd-pac. you can run, but you can't hide from logic.

the best ggg's fans can hope is that by repeating it the "ggg would crush lara" partyline, enough people buy into it that it dampens demand for the fight and prevents it from happening.
