Once again Lara showed his unmitigated fear of a fighter with basically no KO wins over any legitimate names, he ran like hell and the match should have rightfully been a draw at the very least against Vanes. But I'm sure most of the bat**** ****nuts on this site who think Lara would trouble GGG probably think Vanes would give GGG a hard time as well.:rofl

You see because they overhyped Lara's opponents and devalue GGG's, its not a very subtle tactic.

The only trouble GGG would have against Lara is Golovkin tripping and knocking himself out trying to chase him down.

Lara is good but it's always come down to the Alvarez and Angulo fights for me.

He ran from Alvarez and lost the fight purely on activity. Alvarez isn't half the puncher GGG is.

And Angulo was able to trap him and drop him. GGG is a much better ring-cutter and puncher.

Lara would run, GGG would cut him off and hit him, fight wouldn't go the distance. If Alvarez with no power or ring-cutting ability can eke out a decison, GGG is guaranteed to win by KO.

Smaller Angulo 5' 11" 170 pounds for that fight and for your knowledge he was never the same after taking a beating, quitting and almost disfigured.

It's got bodyshot KO win for GGG by the 4th round written all over it. Lara, fundamentally, gives up the body for the sake of guarding his head. The punch he's most vulnerable against is the left hook to the body.

GGG's the wrong guy to play that game against.

Albert Angulo has never been the same since James Kirkland beat the soul out of him in Cancun. He was shot to ribbons and slug slow by the time Lara got a hold of him. Imagine Frankenstein's monster underwater with 20lb lead weights on his wrists and ankles. Angulo never beat anyone above journeyman level after the Kirkland beating. Delray ''The Rainmaker'' Raines is probably his best win post Kirkland.

This is what Golovkin did to a prime 100% Angulo in sparring.

“Perro is getting lit up in sparring by this Russian dude!” read the text message from Garcia, an assistant trainer for junior lightweight prospect Eloy Perez, who frequently trains in Big Bear.

“Alfredo Angulo is a very strong, very competitive, prideful guy who has a great team behind him, but Golovkin is on another level,” said Garcia, who says he watched three sparring sessions between the two over the course of one week. “His strength, his demeanor, his skill, everything he did in there was just too much for Angulo, which surprised the hell out of me.

“I’ve seen Angulo spar many times before and he‘s always the one doing the hurting. He’s so damn tough I’ve never seen him take a step back, let alone get hurt. I was expecting him to test this Golovkin guy that I’d never seen before, but ‘Superman’ was in there taking and giving, and he hurt Angulo a couple times, especially to the body. Angulo had to get on his bike against Golovkin, which was just bizarre to see.”

The Angulo that fought Lara was probably about 20% of what he once was. If he'd been just 30 or 35% of what he once was against Lara there's no doubt in my mind he would've sparked him out cold. I don't think anyone on here, if they're being honest with themselves that is, would disagree with that assertion either. :deal

Lara was absolutely petrified of Canelo's power, Canelo is absolutely petrified of Golovkin's power. If Lara and Golovkin ever end up getting it on, I honestly wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Lara simultaneously did a number one and a number two in his pants at the same time as soon as he felt the weight of one of Golovkin's bombs and the cold, harsh reality of what he's got himself into dawns on him. The only thing Angulo does better than Golovkin is speak Spanish. :deal
