rejoice in Ward's perfomance. Let me just say I had Kessler by UD prior to the fight. I just couldn't see Ward stepping it up like he did based on his last three performances. Well he gave us one hell of a fight and deserve to take the belt home to the bay area. I'm really looking forward to following Ward's progress in the tournament. And Rudyard hand me my new avy!! Hope to sport a racy Ward Avy for the next few months
the fight was there to be won by kessler he dropped the ball bigtime ward fought a very smart fight congrats to him
I agree Ward deserves the credit for this win. He won because of the preformance he put on and has no reflection on Kessler who could still win this tournament.
Although i will say Kessler failed to capitiaise in alot of oppertneitys he was given to land the right hand
Props to Ward headbutts or not, Ward was the better fighter on the night. I have a feeling that they will meet again in the tournament later on. As a Dane I hope Kessler recovers and wins his next two fights.
Same, but a new boxing star is born in Ward which is great for the sport! Ward has made me a follower for all his career, he's ****ing quality!
Clear clear win for Ward, no doubt about it................ Classic "style make fights": Kessler lost exactly in the same way as vs. Calzaghe. The faster fighter throw first and then hold, clinch or fight at the inside. Kessler look amateurish in there. Should have trained the last 2 months/2 years to deal with this fighting style. Kessler hasn't approved for years now. After round 2 or 3 they should had shift to plan b, but did they have a plan b ? Ward more dominant vs. Kessler than Miranda is shocking...............?? In Kessler's next two fights, he will be the faster man and probably prevail, but he has to learn some new stuff now - if possible at this time at the carrier...? Great win Ward .............:bbb
I could not belive what I saw last night, Kessler was so bad. When he had Ward in the ropes he did nothing, NOTHING. Probs to Ward, dirty or not he's good.
Yea yeaaaa Kessler came in with no gameplan, made no adjustments, and trained like this was a tune up fight
