If you had to choose between following either the heavyweight division or the cruiserweight division which one would you choose? Easy choice for me; cruiserweights. The cruiserweight division doesn't seem to have an aversion of matching the top talents against each other whereas the heavyweight division seems to make matches more from managerial skill than pugilistic expertise.

One thing I have been curious about is why they quit calling the cruiserweight division the "junior heavyweight division".

    Cruiser.

Better fighters, Better match up's, Better division.

It's the best division in Boxing right now.

CW usually dismissed and or ignored but really one of the better divisions now. Will HBO or Showtime or some other network broadcast significant CW fights?

For the most part the athletes are actually in peak physical condition unlike some of the overeaters in the heavyweight division.

They changed the name Because it made the smaller guys who once would be at HW feel like they had a complex being called Junior.

Which means lower in rank or status or referring to a young kid or slender woman's clothing size.......

" Hey junior is mommy going to escort you too the ring and wipe your nose if blood trickles "

" Aww the little baby gonna cry in the little junior division without his milk,"

" Hey guys look in this locker room, it must be the pee wee ...wee wee junior team . I was hung like that when I was like 10"

Back in the day it was too much so they changed the name to Cruiser as word spread of the harassment by the big guys:susurro:

Whatta buncha wusses. Jr. middleweights, Jr. Welterweights, Jr. Lightweights, Jr. Featherweights, Jr. Bantamweights, Jr. Flyweights, can all handle it but noooo, not cruiserweights. I guess minimum weight guys have an emotional complex too.

Well, the cruiserweight division has better fighters at this time...........all we have at heavyweight is Wilder who will never fight a legit fighter..................Joshua wants Parker to fight him for nothing..............boxing politics seem to the worse at heavyweight at this time. Fighters who are threat to Wilder are getting framed...........
