recently my trainer has been making me use blocks a lot in our training, i.e. he throws two hooks, i block them and counter etc.
since a few days i've been feeling dizzy and i wondered if it wasnt cos of all the blocks since they do send shockwaves to the head. my trainer said that that was probably it and it would go away after a while more training.
    anyone else had similar problems?

Damn. How hard is he hitting you?

And if he's hitting you hard enough to make you dizzy, he needs to ease up a bit not just keep hammering away until you get used to it.

    we dont wear headgear btw
once every three or four shots he throws a 'power shot' i.e. a shot with power he would normally use in a competitive fight. the strange thing is i was feeling fine during the training and he was quite satisifed i took the shots well. it was only the day after and since thne that i've been dizzy, and i'm sure i'm not sick.

    =/

Yeah, if you feel groggy from shots, get somebody to bang you up even more because that will make it go away :patsch

You should either stop doing this stupid exercise entirely, or tell him to stop throwing power shots into your canister. Your coach sounds reckless and unknowledgable.

Lol. We have sparring without headgear. 3 minute rounds. The guys usually go easy on each other but i have seen a broken nose and some heavy shots land.
