David Kotey vs Danny Lopez 1, Ghana '76, Lopez UD15 for the WBC featherweight title Has anyone seen this fight??? I've been reading about it, but would really like to hear from anyone who has seen it. Is there even any footage of it? Even if not, how much value do you place on this win, achieved in the heart of Africa? Was Kotey a great featherweight? Was it one of Lopez's best wins, maybe even the best? All/any info/opinions welcome :good

I havent seen it myself. Just remembering a link in another forum. Will perhaps sit down and watch it at the weekend when I dont have to copy disks for Flea.
I remember reading that Lopez gave Kotey a brutal beating, even though Kotey finished on his feet. Supposedly Kotey suffered numerous cuts and swellings. I read also that after the bell, before and after the decision was read, you could hear a pin drop in the arena because everyone was so quiet and sullen. I saw the rematch on live television. It was no contest...Lopez just destroyed Kotey.
