This is so goddamn sloppy. There's either a clinch or telegraphed & deflected uppercut from guy or the other every two seconds.

Gómez: clinches like a biatch for minutes on end, then once in a while throws a desperation flurry.

...honestly? Rigondeaux vs. Clemente-Andino made for better viewing. At least there you knew El Chacal had that equalizer in his back pocket and could detonate any moment. I have zero faith in either of these guys stopping the other. It's going to be three more awful rounds and then a wide predictable UD for Elbiali.

Elbiali slugging on the body, then anticipating the clinch from Gómez and cupping the nape of his neck in his palms. Gómez tries answering with his own gutterball shots on the body, just getting outgunned. Elbiali starts tiring around the midway point, however, and Gómez sees his opportunity to stake a claim. Gómez starts firing off triple jabs at the head and underhanded rights at the body. They're both just winging arm punches now, gassed.

10-9 Gómez, close, took over in the last 90 seconds after Elbiali began fading.

Elbiali rushes forward and his momentum sends the weary Gómez crashing ass-first onto the canvas in the corner. Unintentional shoulder tackle. Oof, this was sloppy in the middle rounds, now it's just artless wrestling. Matter of time before one guy or both ends up rolling their ankle going down from exhaustion while tangled in a clinch.

Anybody's round halfway through. Nobody landing.

Elbiali looks ready to pass out, but rallies and scores a nice right uppercut/left hook/right uppercut combination. Gómez hurt by all three shots, landing flush.

Gómez just tossing out a rapid stutter-jab. Wild hooks by Gómez, swiveling at the hips, unable to put any mustard on his shots, just flailing his arms. Elbiali stays in close, arms wrapped around Gómez's midsection. Bad fight ends with a whimper.
