While I'm sure he has ulterior motives behind this, good for DLH. He didn't have to say anything, but he did.

This is what Arum had to say in reply (over at the scene):

"In my world, you do not do a digital apology. What you do, what a man does, is pick up the phone and call someone and then man to man say what you've got to say. That's the way men do it."

If Osar didn't bother calling Arum, then his tweet apology was just for mere show.

Perhaps, but isn't that the world Arum lives in???

"Yesterday I was lying, today I'm saying the truth"...Everything he says and does is bull****....It looks like GBP just wants to make fights happen while Top Rank is doing the exact same **** Don King did that destroyed boxing in America.

The same can be said for Golden Boy. They've used their monopoly on HBO dates to price other promoters out of fights.

Look at 135. It's been a Golden Boy tournament basically on HBO:

    Marquez-Barrera
    Marquez-Casamayor
    Marquez-Diaz
    Marquez-Diaz II
    Marquez-Katsidis

    Juarez-Barrera I
    Juarez-Barrera II
    Juarez-Linares
    Juarez-John I
    Juarez-John II

    Katsidis-Casamayor
    Katsidis-Diaz
    Katsidis-Escobedo

    Guerrero-Escobedo

You're telling me Soto, Rios, or Antillon couldn't get ONE Of those dates from HBO?

In Katsidis-Diaz, BOTH fighters were coming off LOSSES. And fought on HBO.

GBP is just as bad, if not worse than Top Rank as far as in-house specials. The reason being they have the HBO dates to make fights as they see fit.

Now Top Rank could do us all a favor and work with other promoters, e.g., Shaw, DiBella, Goossen, Main Events...but the point is that it's not all on Top Rank, especially when they do their own shows BECAUSE HBO has been in bed with Golden Boy and/or Al Haymon fighters.

Not even close to what Arum is doing. You mentioned mandatories, rematches from rematch clauses, and fights the fans wanted.

What Arum does is what Don King did to destroy the HW scene in the 90's and ruin boxing's mainstreamm appeal.
