im pretty sure oscar is going to fight margo over pac.
if he fights pac he will be expected to look dominant and if he doesn't he will be heavily critisized for not easily disposing of him on top of recieving heavy critisizm for fighting him in the first place.
if he fights margo he will be praised for fighting the beast that ate cotto and will recieve praise just for making it 12 rds when the likes of cotto could not. he doesn't have to win, to win. and make no mistake about it, oscar has a chance of beating margo.
as far as the difference in money and interest pac and margo can generate, that is quickly evening up due to the hype margo is recieving after his spectacular performance. the general public is intrigued with this new master of destruction and may see him as another pac in a weight more suited to dlh.
dlh vs margarito will happen and i have it 55% to 45% for oscar in his last great performance.

Agreed, but Oscar de la Hoya is too stupid, ignorant and greedy to figure this out on his own.

He could make this happen with a 50-50 split, and by co promoting with DKP and at a catchweight of say, 165. Both fighters would easily make about 40 million each, and it might break some PPV records. Had he and Schaefer had any brains, and it's apparent that they combined have the brainpower of Jr. Samples of Hee Haw fame, they would have made this in May, following a whirlwind, world tour promoing the Megarematch, and an HBO 24/7 Series to boot. Oscar would have a shot at Redemption in easily the biggest fight to hit Vegas in years, a sold out MGM, and 2.4 million buys on PPV. Win lose or draw, Oscar goes out a winner, with all that $$$.

But against Manny Pac? His legacy and rep take a hit, and Manny has as big an EGO as Oscar.

Mexicans will be more upset if he chose Pac over Margo, than if he beat Margo. Chavez was the smaller man and past his prime, that's why people were upset of the young punk DelaHoya beating him down. Now we have the old punk DelaHoya wanting to fight a jr. light weight.

Somebody tell Oscar Mexican fighters are ment for fighting.

Honestly, DelaHoya-Margarito generates way more money than DelaHoya-Pacquiao. Once people realize Oscar's in a "real" fight, they'll shell out big money to potentially see him get brutalized. It's the American way regarding celebrities.
