This isn't about blame It's about professionalism and Mayweather Sr is about as unprofessional as it gets. No-ones making excuses here,no-ones saying Hatton would have won. You take what someone says and then change it to your own simplistic idiotic **** stiring view which btw is miles away from topic.
u wanna talk about professionalism, how about sticking to the same coach that won him the world title instead of sacking him and employing a crack head.
Mayweather snr will not tolerate any bollocks from De La Hoya or anyone! Floyd snr has a great deal to do with Oscar's success during the latter part of his career, so Oscar should shut the fcuk up! Everyone trying to put blame on Floyd snr, listen, if your fighter does not follow your instructions what the fcuk are you supposed to do? Hatton tried & he came up short! That's life! Mayweather snr is not to blame for the defeat. I will also say that if we have the last of Floyd snr training Hatton, it will be more Ricky's loss than the trainer's!
They both get what they deserve. Thought is was pretty messed up when Billy Ghram was like I havent heard from hatton since he fired me.
Floyd Sr. is an arrogant ***** and grossly overrated. His behavior in that camp and in the corner was poor. Mayweather is all about one thing, himself. He doesn't give a flying **** about his fighters. He might have some tactical knowledge but what he brings to the table in terms of building confidence and conducting a relationship built on mutual respect is a ****ing sad joke.
Whether or not Hatton lost is irrelevant to the point that Mayweather Sr., could have conducted himself in a more professional manner ie, not showing up until 45 minutes til the fight started and showing a bit more concern after Ricky got ko'd.
His post fight actions suggest he was pissed off with Hatton. If Snr was pissed off then I can understand. Snr clearly took a lot of pride in supposedly making Ricky less of a crude brawler and more a thinking man's boxer. But, on the biggest stage of his life and after all the hundreds of hours Snr spent with him, what did Hatton do? He reverted to an even cruder and stupider bar brawler than you probably ever thought he was. I understand why he would be mightly pissed off with Hatton.
A coach that Hatton felt could only take him so far. Getting rid of a trainer when you feel that way is professional. So you're suggesting that even with the negative feeling Hatton had around Billy post PBF, then add the poor showing in the Lazcano fight, that Hatton should have kept Billy? Hatton felt Graham was slowing and in order to advance he needed to change it up. When a boxer feels that way you must drop the trainer.
Is there any footage of Mayweather Sr. with Ricky after the K.O.? I personally don't care not a Hatton fan. But is there any footage?
