This bafoon is actually considering fighting Manny Pacquaio who started his career at 106lbs:fire

See this is the thing with Oscar, he's SO MANIPULATIVE..Let's say he fights and beats Manny Pacquaio, what has he really accomplished............NOTHING

But how would Golden Boy rationalize his Victory.
Oscar Delahoya ends his career beating the #1 p4p fighter in the world. (in actuality he would have beaten a fighter who started at 106lbs) where he's actually had fights at MIDDLEWEIGHT.:patsch

And his dicklickers actually endorse this ****....It just goes to show how much he has faded and isn't even relevant as a fighter...
Stevie "****ing" Forbes was hitting Oscar at will...

Put it like this, what if COTTO challenged Manny to a fight at 147lbs?
    He would be crucified.

I totally agree this fight is a mismatch. However, BOTH PARTIES seem to want this (See the freddie roach interview posted yesterday), and honestly, can a bigger fight be made in the entire sport?

Because Cotto is a much larger fighter and in his prime. De La Hoya is even bigger than Cotto, but the difference is that De La Hoya had his prime years ago and has struggled in recent fights. His last opponent, Steve Forbes, would also be battered by Pacquiao in the same way David Diaz was.

Even though Pacquiao is a much smaller guy, this fight could be interesting because of how far gone De La Hoya is. If Pacquiao beats Hatton and looks good there, I will favour him over Oscar despite the size disadvantage he will be up against.

And even if your point was true, "ruining" is way over the top. if there is one person who will save boxing, it's Oscar. He's done a great job in recent years and I'm sure that will carry on.

I wish Oscar would just...go away. Want to see a fight? Let Paq fight Hatton.

If DLH is calling out a smaller man thats one thing but if they both want to fight then let em do it. I've always thought fighters should be able to fight across weight classes if they wanted, without having to gain or lose to "meet in the middle"

It would have been cool to see Roy Jones fight John Ruiz at his natural weight.

Don't get me wrong, I would much rather see pac vs hatton, but I don't think anyone has as much worldwide appeal as Oscar does.

Either of those fights will draw huge numbers, though.

Steve Forbes would knock Pac the hell out, stop talking this dude up. I'm glad he won a belt but he fought a nobody. He could have fought Casa, Campbell, juan diaz, hell even katsidis, but he didn't. He knows why he didn't fight those guys also.

I would agree to this thread if Roach wasnt saying he wanted the fight, but it seems that both sides want this fight to take place and you know what the old timers say be careful what you wish for you just might get it.

I wouldn't say he is ruining boxing at all. He's put on some outstanding cards over the yrs and has a strong stable of fighters. But this fight is bogus.....I'll watch it but I think its wrong for DLH to fight PAC. The size would be vast and DLH is still a strong WW or Super WW.

The only thing we can hope for if the fight happens is for PAC to KO DLH into oblivion.

if this Happens then Floyds win over DLH means squat and all the attention is turned to Manny Pacquiao Floyd will have to come back and face the winner of Cotto Margarito to clear the smoke up.

How is he saving:-( boxing............He's self-centered, and WAYYYY past it....If he wanted to "contribute" it would have been in a managerial capacity and let Shane Mosley fight Floyd Mayweather instead of giving the fans ANOTHER half-assed effort against Mayweather (this mofo can't even jab consistently for 12 rounds, but he's warranted ANOTHER fight against a p4p King:patsch

Pacquiao is too fast ... depending on where the catch weight would be at ... I think that Pacquiao would be fresher and just as strong as DLH.

Oscar hasn't allowed himself to be weighed on fight night since 2000, but you can be sure that it's considerably more than Pacquiao's fight night weight.

I don't see the fight happening anyway so it's not a big deal. It's just talk.

Oscar will probably fight Cotto, provided Cotto wins next week.
