Exactly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those who thought this fight was thrown DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING... Watch the fight again and see why DLH wasnt throwing jabs.. Pac was bobbing and weaving and bouncing around, controlling the distance, shooting out at angles, counter punching and would make DLH pay with his speed. You guys don't know how to eat your crow...PACMAN KEEPS ON IMPROVING!!!!

No way he threw the fight - that is just ridiculous. :patsch

Oscar is so full of himself that he wouldn't want to go out like that and tarnish his legacy with such an ass kicking, and especially quiting on the stool like that.

He would stand to make soooo much more money by just winning the damn fight and setting himself up for maybe a PBF rematch, or an easy Hatton fight. He's the biggest name in boxing and the biggest PPV draw, so of course he'd make the most money by promoting his own big-time fight -not to mention of course that he wants to secure his legacy.

Anytime something incredible/surprising happens, people think it MUST be a conspiracy.. :nut

So because DLH sadly is well past his best and was beaten by a much quicker guy means he threw the fight. Insane. He wouldnt thow the fight so he could earn more money. It's not like he is going to struggle financially in the future so he has no reason to throw the fight.

All these theories flying about are rubbish.

Idon't think Oscar threw the fight the problem is he was totally exauhsted ! He got what he deserved ! If he would of rehdrated back to at least 152 ,and paid that penalty the fight would have looked more compettve . I'm so glad I didn't buy this crap . It was a shame to only see Manny give an effort in such a big fight ! I hope now we will get prime vs prime fighters now !

that is just it though Scar DLH has lost just about all of his biggest fights. I don't understand why people think he is an ATG. He was a good fighter but fighting great competition and losing does not = ATG status.

HUH???? You are arguing from a fallible insight that you are convincing yourself to believe... Listen to yourselves bro your arguments yell out, "I know nothing".... De La Hoya whether he fought for pride or money would be best served by winning the fight... If he wins he promotes himself... Mayweather is not promoted by Golden boy so a Pacquiao/Mayweather clash is not going to make him as much money as a DLH/Mayweather rematch or a Pacquiao/Hatton match is not going to make more money than a DLH/Hatton match because DLH is being paid as promoter and fighter. If DLH can beat Manny, he can beat Hatton than fight Mayweather... Do you see how far your stretching your idea.. Its just unbelievable.

nah he took an ass whooping.

If you are going to throw a fight there are better ways to do it than getting your ass kicked from the first 30 seconds all the way to the end of round 8

I don't think there are better ways to do it. If you are gonna lose, lose big to really put the other guy over.

I'm not going to claim I understand ODLH's thinking, or how he will make money off this down the line. However it is clear to me that whatever is going on in his fat head it made him engineer a farce of an outing yesterday. Really it beggars belief that people think ODLH could have performed so terribly, or that elite veteran trainers would overshoot the weiht loss by such a margin as to have Manny be larger on the night of the fight...and then the speechless surrender in his corner?

Can't explain it, won't bother trying to rationalize it with motives, but I do know this bout smells fishy.

Something is admitely a bit fishy about the fight. I know Oscar is past his prime and 147 is a stretch at his age, but not so much when a fighter is coming up 2 weight classes to fight you. It's not that big of a deal if Oscar doesn't fight another big name. He can take the money and run without putting up a fight against Pac and promote Hatton-pac or PBF-pac when money may comes out of retirement. It really makes perfect business sense, and sadly as much as I used to admire Oscar I wouldn't put it past him today.

He didn't throw the fight, coz whatever he throws was hitting air, before he could throw anything his opponent wasn't on his range anymore. Simple as it is.

    Looking for excuses eh?

If DLH won that fight he can go on and fight Hatton for a bigger payday. Why would DLH throw away that opportunity by "throwing away" his fight with Pacquiao in an embarrassing manner? DLH is retiring and he wouldn't want to retire in an embarrassing manner and have that bad experience for the rest of his life. It doesn't make sense.

Just admit that you predicted the fight wrongly. If you gave Pac a chance to win before the fight, you would have thought of the scenario that have happened. I predicted Pac to win by decision because DLH will gas out in the later rounds. What I did not predict is that DLH will quit!
