OP how do you feel about Lara vs Trout?

Was really looking forward to Cotto - Canelo. All props be to Trout.

Trout is a natural 160 - 168 lb. boxer, but if Alvarez gets him into a ring he will break Trout's ribs and knock him out. Alvarez is way too strong for Trout.............

They go in every Canelo thread and just talk ****. Even in threads about Lara, all they can think about is Canelo. Pobres Bueyes!

 

Canelo got 1.9M people to watch him beat up a guy two divisions lighter. Lopez is not more known now than Trout is.

 

Canelo will most likely fight Cotto on Cinco de Mayo, I feel it is inevitable. If he did fight Trout, he'd probably be outlanded 5 or 6 to 1.

 

I hope so too but this is the era of avoiding the obvious fight if its a bad style match up.

 

Alvarez needs to fight Floyd or Trout next. He's has several years to "get ready" for a live fighter. Time to man up and unify the division.

 

Canelo/Trout, I'd take Trout.

 

I think the big disadvantage would be Austin Trout winning and having another marquee fighter under Al Haymon. I'm sure Golden Boy has to be a little weary of the increase in Haymon's influence in the world of boxing. Who knows, we might end up with a legitimate 3rd promotion company. Or with Golden Boy being "boxed" out.

 

Cool for them and their profits. Not so much from Cotto's perspective. He will get annihilated if it does ever happen.
