I wasn't excited when DLH faced a more skilled opponent on a SOMEWHAT equal playing field in FMJ, why would this excite me? I think most of the "haters" are just truly tired of this **** with Oscar.
You know as well as anybody Scar,he frequently talks ****; His schedule for the last few years has contained members of the rogues gallery at least 3 times a year. It never happens mate.
This will be an exhibition fight. There's no way it should reach the 10th round, it's not like Pacquiao has a defense like Forbes or Mayweather -(both who are physically bigger than Pac), and his fire power shouldn't be enough to keep even a past his prime DelaHoya off him. If Oscar's not pulling his punches, this shouldn't last more than 6 rounds. For all the hype this fight will generate, it'll be yet another disapointing DelaHoya fight with a one sided outcome.
I highly doubt his comment was directed towards anything south of texas or north of buffalo NY. I also don't know any hillbilly mexicans...although I'm sure they're out there somewhere.
One things for sure.. this will be more exciting that ODLH vs PBF wherein they engaged in a brawl in the last round only. Knowing, PAC he will do everything to win, meaning he will not be running away!!!! but just the same I DON'T SEE him winning!!! I'd be happy if he loses while putting up a good fight and earn some respect. But ODHL KO pac would not suprise me! On the other hand as a pac fan, I'm still hoping PAC wins. It will be the upset of the decede! Logic dictates that PAC can't hurt ODLH while the later can hurt the former. If that is the premise.. We all know the results.
I am fairly excited for this fight, as both participants have a history of being involved in exciting fights. I expect Hoya to win by knockout, he hits far to hard for Manny Pacquiao to cope with, who has already been knocked out at a much much lower weight class than 147. I hope Manny can somehow pull off a miracle and make this fight go on for a while, because there is garunteed fireworks with these two in the ring. Hoya won't feel any need to be defensive as he should be fairly confident that Manny Pacquiao, even with his power, will be unable to hurt him at 147. Likewise, Manny has tried to box more in other fights, but he seems to get pulled into brawls fairly easily. This time however, his opponent is twice his size and hits twice as hard. Pacquiao shouldn't have taken the fight, and Roach is a silly man, but it's going to be compulsive viewing regardless. Bring it on.
"It's a fight between a guy from the Philippines and Mexico..where the hell does America come into this?" Oscar happens to be an AMERICAN not a Mexican.
The only point of interest: is Freddy Roach full of ****. Will he stick to his I wont take a penny if Manny loses.
