Pac and Mayweather(although not without their own merits) are riding high on DLH's last wave but I see noone in the immediate future to pick up where these two will leave off.

Will the new generation of boxing superstars have to start from scratch or will someone come along in the next couple of years and pick-up the baton from either of these two and continue the wave of $ucce$$.

If pac left for congress and floyd retired boxing would be in a bad state, but expect some damn good fights out of guys trying to step up.

Pac refused to throw a fight with Void, "The Roid" Mayweather. Void will not fight Pac!

Doomsayers are always claiming that boxing is in a "bad state" but it will be fine even when Pac and Mayweather leave.

There will always be good fights for real fans.

Huge potential but he has an uphill climb thanks to that questionable chin and
that 1 in his loss ledger!

All it takes is at least one quality U.S. heavyweight to blow up all previous PPV records. There's so many more people with cable boxes or other ways to purchase PPV fights now.

You are back in style. Some things just never change. You always say nothing to be honest with you.

One loss or not he will always be an attraction because of his weaknesses. People will tune in knowing that something dramatic is very possible.

That weakness could easily get him loss #2 and at that point the climb (to star status) gets even more difficult.

I think PPV values won't be the same for a while. Until a fighter goes on a winning streak (a mini tourney anyone)....Maybe even till the next olympics, If america broadcasters cover it better than they did last time. I personally think they will so they can build stars up

Mayweather has 3 more fights under his agreement so within the amount of time that it will take him to fight those fights their should be at least 1 of the 140lbs that would have buit enough of a following to fight make himself a BIG NAME Floyd always tells the BBC that he wants to fight in England so if Khan Can get thru the murderers row that he will have to go to get to fight Floyd that might be it, I would love to see williams v floyd though

With a bit of clever marketing and wise promoting (I'm thinking of Bob Arum here), a superstar can be made at least once a decade. I mean look at how long has boxing been running for? And how many superstars that have existed during that time? It would be sill to suggest that this will come to a dramatic end (or a drop) when Mayweather and Pacquiao retire.

Simply put, boxing is like any other major sport. There will always be a long conveyor belt of fighters coming through, and taking the world by storm.

I imagine after the mayweather pac period if they do or dont fight that MMA will grow and be on a closer par with boxing until the next big boxing star. UFC has a few top names they've built up who I personally think will do good PPV numbers over next few years

Andre Ward should be a star if he wins the Super 6, the others probably arent young enough to become massive draws, bar Dirrell.

Gamboa could be a star, and his future fight with JuanMa will be PPV and should do well once built up. The winne of the Alexander-Bradley-Khan triangle should be a star.

None of these guys may not do Mayweather/Pacman numbers but thats the future right there
