Looking at all these posts and whether Forbes was just a tune-up and not one of the three fights Oscar is talking about, I feel that Hatton would most definitely get knocked out within six. The three fighters is possibly going to be PBF (Oscar pulls a win and shuts alot of nonbelievers), Cotto (?, Cotto will not knock Oscar out), and then the rubber match with PBF. Right now, Cotto and PBF are the best at WW and the most talked about fighters. Oscar has always fought the best and will end his career fighting the best. What makes anyone think different? Give the guy a break. Yes, he is a promoter, but he is a fighter and when it is all said and done, he will be the best promoter out there. Why is anyone even mentioning Pac vs Oscar unless it was a joke. Arum would literally let Pac gain fifteen pounds to fight a natural 154 pounder at 5'10? Oscar is not done or shot like some are saying. He was not blown out by PBF and it was actually close. If he beats PBF, he is going to make PBF sweat by making the Cotto fight PBF did not want to make. No disrespect about the Pac joke statment, but that would be like PBF trying to fight at CW and that is only eight weight class jump. Pac I believe came from 112. That would be ten weight classes up to fight at 150 or so. Pac vs Hatton!!!

Well u got a point my man. I just hope this **** doesn't crack a mill which in unlikely. So they can realize that the fight people want to see is Floyd vs Cotto. Kind of wish it was wwe event were the fans can chant Cotto or Margo during the fight while booing. But boxing is a business.

Comparing JCC SR fighting Oscar and Oscar fighting JCC JR is laughable.

JCC JR is not, does not have the potential to, and will never be - on half the level of either fighter.

Well Chavez needs to step up big time, because Oscar is still better than anyone he has faced. Wont be suprised if Oscar hurts him badly

If he pulls off the upset against Mayweather in September, then we may see him fight Cotto, in May 2009.

Unless he takes a terrible one-sided beating, he probably won't retire. He'll miss the thrill and spotlight and there'll be too much money to be made anyway.

What makes it so bad is that I'm a huge Floyd fan, but is really to start to like Cotto more and more because he seems to want to take chances. I just want to see him give Shane a rematch. But the way Cotto is fighting. He will be making huge money soon

This whole "three more fights then I'm done" deal is bogus. Oscar will be around for a while longer....it's just a smart ploy to get MORE money out of people.

    I see you answered, cheers!

My answer as to why not: This is nothing but a gimmick fight. An old, faded and almost shot fighter with a huge name fighting a guy that started at 112. David vs Goliath they would probably bill it as. :-( But IF Pac were to win, the only chance would be if he were to fill out to 147ish okay, and then the gimmick is lost. It's no longer David vs Goliath. It's just Pac at a higher weight class versus a guy who in his last 7 or so fights has won two NOTHING fights, and been beaten convincingly by every decent opponent he has faced. A promoter to boot, where it seems his head is at.

As someone who claims to be Pac's biggest fan, do you not think that a fight against Guzman, Campbell, or a third fight with JMM (fights that aren't cheap gimmicks to make both men money) are better for his legacy?

Or is the fact that DLH is so much bigger than him what attracts you to this fight? Cause Pac can't really lost that way; unlike in a 3rd fight with JMM, a fight against Guzman, or a fight against Campbell. There's NO excuses if he were to lose those fights; but there is if he were to fight DLH... Hence, CHEAP.

Pac's legacy lies with guys in and around his weight division, not DLH.

I'm a huge Floyd fan too, and want the fight perhaps more than any other fight in the sport.

But it does take two to tango, its not all Floyd. It's Cotto as much as it is Floyd, and its Arum the most. But that's just my opinion.

Also, as a HUGE fan of Floyd from way back, Floyd has proven what kind of fighter he is. He's allowed to make certain choices that people don't like (although, he will be punished if he retires and doesn't fight Cotto, provided he keeps winning)

Thats just MY take. And it will take a very knowledgable and likeable person for me to even THINK about changing it. :D

It's also just timing. De La Hoya is a bigger payday, and if Mayweather looked to fight Cotto this year, I think we'd have gotten Cotto-De La Hoya anyway. Cotto's team said they preferred a De La Hoya match, and it's hard to picture Arum rather having Cotto fight Mayweather than De La Hoya, whom not only represents more money and exposure, but also whom he is on better business terms with than Mayweather.

Oh yeah Cotto needs to speak up, but I think after this fight he will have no choice. But I see this fight being a good one. Also can see a one-sided fight on both sides. But I will give the edge to Floyd because people can say whatever they want. But Floyd can study oppenents very well and will have agreat plan. People tend to forget that Floyd is a great body puncher to

Pac is already a Legend. And he wants to fight a Legend like Himself. Guzman & Campbell needs to make a name for themselves to be called Legends. JMM earned his spot but Pac can't fight him all the time. DLH & Hatton are in the end of their Careers. Both can be called Legend in their Hometown. Hatton has Tszu in his resume. DLH has his endless lists. Pac winning against them means more than a win over Guzman and Campbell. It doesn't mean I don't wanna see Pac Vs Guzzy and Campbell. I just want Pac to rush and get the Chance to Put DLH/Hatton in his resume before they retire.

Maybe an exaggeration, but Berbick added a legend when he beat Ali?

So thank God you obviously have no problem with Floyd-Oscar 2... Right?
