Is Oscar De La Hoya the most exciting Non HW boxer of his generation? Was he even the most exciting figher in or around his weight class?
He was the greatest fighter of the late 90s (when Roy Jones was dominating a boring & weak Light Heavyweight division) but wasn't the most exciting.
His fights made the most electric/exciting EVENTS. As far as most exciting/entertaining fights, no. Overall the entertainment level of his fights are alright, nothing special.
Who was more exciting in the 90's when DLH was around? I can name a few, but would love to see the answers of others.
The most exciting fighter from 1995-98 was Arturo Gatti. Then when 2000 came around, Erik Morales took over, and probably passed the torch to Manny Pacquiao somewhere along the line.
dlh was exciting because he forught the top fighters not bums, he may have a few losses but there all top guys that some i think he won.
Mundo, BewareofDawg and Relentless think Oscars a lot more exciting now than he was in the 90's. The internet photos recently really made them excited too. You know, kinda a common bond there, everyone excited and stuff. They love everything about their guy Oscar. It's that special kind of love (I think you know what I mean )
laughing at our own jokes again are we, Rory? too bad dan isn't here to help you, difference between you and dan is that dan makes me laugh, you make me wanna **** you till you love me, ******.
Roy Jones Felix Trinidad Gatti''s fights were exciting as well Delahoya is not all that exciting in my opinion. But to each his own
De La Hoya vs Mosley 1 De La Hoya vs Vargas De La Hoya vs Mayorga De La Hoya vs Chavez 2 De La Hoya vs Gatti De La Hoya vs Camacho De La Hoya vs Quartey (especially rd 12) All were exciting fights.
