I like both De La Hoya and Wright, but let's be honest: that would be a horrible fight... DLH is taking a risk vs. every elite fighter today, he's not the same fighter once was, too easy to hit, Winky should be the favorit to outbox him, Cotto to outpunch or KO him...

So there's no logic in the Winky fight, Oscar wouldn't avoid the risk of losing anyway, and all Winky can guarantee is a skilled but very uneventful boxing match...

Cotto is a top10 P4P-er, undefeated, exciting, not flawless, has everything to make it a big event... Mosley, a partner of course of DLH, is still and exciting and a good fighter, just ask Cotto, who barely beat him... if GBP doesn't want to share and only interested in making fights between their own stablemates or promotional partners (like Winky Promotions) what's the problem making the 3rd fight of a great, exciting and popular rivalry vs. GBP Mosley?

Out of all possibilities, DLH - Winky is the least interesting fight, and press releases and rumors are indicating that it's the fight we're going to get... :patsch

I hope Oscar doesn't let boxing retire him. I mean, a fight against Cotto/Margarito is really out of his league physically at this point of his career. All other fights seem a bit pointless, and Floyd is retired (let's just say I give the retirement part the benefit of the doubt)

A fight against Mosley makes sense only to those who didn't agree with the judges in the previous fights, but legacy wise Mosley will always have those 2 wins.
Winky hasn't impressed anyone lately, so that really isn't interesting either.
Hatton and Pac are too small, period.
Against Trinidad would be a mere shadow of their first fight, let the past for what it is, they should both already be retired.

And well, what's left? Pavlik? That would be even more punishing for Oscar's health than Marg or Cotto.

So for the sake of the De La Hoya family, his friends, his fans and himself...RETIRE OSCAR you've done enough for the sport.

I strongly disagree with. Oscar has chosen the path of least resistance by facing Mayorga and Mayweather ( remember coming down from 147) and Steve Forbes ( at 150). Hoya never gave any indication of wanting Cotto or any other young active fighter and a major threat to his legacy... Let's face it, Oscar takes on Miguel or Antonio and they will distort his face and break his rib cage and that will be knockout loss number 2. He takes on Mosley and it's another loss ( 3 losses to the same man). He takes on Winky who is old and rusty as he is and nobody gets seriously hurt... Win, lose or draw, Oscar rides into the sunset with his reputation intact and more millions in the bank... That deal must be done, just yet not announced.

Everyone always gives Oscar credit for never ducking anyone...they say he always stepped up and fought the best...Chavez, Prime Quartey, Tito, Shane TWICE, Vargas, then went up to middleweight to fight Hopkins, then back down for Floyd......but he hasnt fought everyone, he hasnt fought Winky...so from now on when ppl post threads on here about reasons to like Oscar, make sure when you say *"he never ducked anyone" you put an asterisk next to it.

Yep but PacMan is after Hatton, that's pretty obvious and PacMan won't fight at 150, so it's out of the Q.
