The one redeeming aspect of the night was the cofeatured bout which was interesting. Was that aired on HBO too? If so I want to record it next time it comes out. Oh and putting that 2-2-1 fighter in with an ccomplished olympian with 5(5)-0-0 was a freaking joke.

Yeah, when they showed the overhead view, it was a lot of empty seats. The fight wasn't sold out. It was a lot of people there though.

Mayweather is P4P #1, he is simply a tool used by Golden Boy in Promotions. Floyd Mayweather the name, meant nothing prior to the
'World Awaits' as far as selling a huge fight. But throwing in that 'Oscar Delahoya' (the name) is fighting the P4P #1 fighter, being Floyd, then that sells.

Oscar has not been winning fights over the past few years...and is still a draw. If Floyd starts dropping decisions, and loses his status as P4P king, he aint selling any tickets and thats just the truth.

what i dont get is if floyd is the draw why did he accept less money than de la hoya?

and why does he need cotto to be a big draw if he can sell 500.000+ ppvs himself?

...And the only reason the "fans hate" Mayweather(I hope you realize how stupid that sounds") is because Mayweather wants people to hate him. People keep hating on him and it keeps making him millions. You think he really cares if Joe Smith from ESB thinks he's a pompous ass?

if mayweather wants people to hate him why do all you fan boys cry when people hate on him?

aren't they doing what floyd wants them to?

i guess you dont like floyd as much as you thought.

Oscar agreed to fight Floyd. Oscar put Floyds name next to his. Oscar put Floyd on HBO and Promoted the biggest fight in the history of boxing. Oscar then put Floyd on HBO again in the promotion for his next fight with Hatton. Golden Boy is responsible for Floyds popularity. There is no denying that. Not solely responsible, but he's a huge part of it.

Are you happy that the best fighter in the world has less fans than a washed-up, fishnets-wearing teen idol? And that people go to see such bull**** instead of quality boxing match ups?

Actually Oscar vs Forbes are two extremely skilled fighters and I thought the fight was pretty good. As far as "quality boxing" is concerned, this was a much better fight then Floyds fights with Baldomir and Gatti. :deal

The fight was as meaningless as RJJ-Tito. Say what you will about PBF but at least he's not feasting on smaller men.

How is a tune up fight meaningless? Answer me this, was it as meaningless as doing nothing until his rematch with Floyd? Because thats what Floyd is doing. Not only is our P4P champ ignoring the best division in boxing, but he isn't fighting at all :deal
