Truth be told it always seemed that Oscar was too smart to go out that way. I guess they all go out that way.

Ducked? Yet he took on much beeter fighters in Nard, Shane (Twice), Whitaker, Vargas, PAC, Mayweather Jr ect....I mean...the guy couldn't take on EVERYONE who wanted a payday. People are a bit hard on DLH b/c of his squeaky clean persona. I could care less about who he is outside the ring b/c I'm not in to soaps....Women are into all that hyped up drama...Give me meaningful and great fights and you get my respect on the most basic level.

DLH beat Whitaker, he beat Tito, Shane, Quartey and lost to Strum, nard, and PAC. Sure he's had some close fights....some that could have gone one way or the other...the fact of the matter is very few have beaten DLH in his prime....Nard and shane are two that come to mind. And that ain't half bad. He is a great in the sport of boxing and he did the sport justice.

Anyone who is a multi division champion in a sport like boxing with a record like DLH's is a great without a doubt....many sites have different personalities like ESB. There are always critics....and there are always opinions...one thing Opinions can not do is over rule FACTS...and the facts are DLH took on the best of the best and ducked no one! Any fighters whom did not make DLH resume, did not make it due to the fact he had bigger names and bigger dollars to take on.

Nothing wrong with an "Opinion" as long as you know that everyone has one and opinions that are baseless get little respect.

Again...biased and baseless....anyone can manipulate any situation... Tito could be viewed as one who feasted on the small....a natural super WW or Jr MD who campainged much of his career at 135. Would that be fair....No. Why, b/c it's baseless and lacks validity.

They say PAC beat "Past their prime" fighters or cherry picked or what have you....ALI went through the same BS, so did Robinson, Marciano, Leonard and Jones Jr. Bottom line there are always going to be haters....when you are the TOP man in your profession or field you'll have some BS slung your way. These guys are champions...the best of the best and at one point the best in the game. They dealt with harder situation in the ring than critics who like to take away from their accomplishments. Women do that and I'd call it a womanly trait...but it makes for drama which "some" fans enjoy...I think its over rated to be honest.

    overrated
when he was a junior light weight he fought featherweights
when he was a light weight he fought junior light weights or blown up feathers...he always fought a division below him...they call him a 6 weight division champ....the first 2 he won were WBO garbage and the last 1 he got at 160 was WBO garbge. he was a 160 pound champ....around the same time BHOP was THE middleweight champ. how do you count that? any close fight he won, no rematch (whitaker, quartey) not 1 big win in the 2000's unless you count VARGAS or Mayorga.....who trinidad beat the **** out of earlier....fought such monsters at 154 like castellijo, yory boy campas.... YIPPIE

Now take your favorite fighter's resume, scrutinize it with the same negative bias and chances are DLH will end up looking "Golden" in comparison:good
